Can't Hire New Staff

Hello everyone. I am a newbie here. I have been searching the internet for an answer and can't seem to find one. I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this...so please bear with me. I recently started playing EWR again...V4.2. I didn't know about any updates so I went through and put wrestlers/staff where they belonged. I went to play and noticed that I didn't have any staff or was told I had no staff. So I go to the Staff page and there are people there, except their morale is all at zero and when I click to negotiate their contracts, a box pops up with "So And So refuses to even begin negotiations with you.". I am not sure what to do. I can hire wrestlers with no problem, but even unemployed staff under Other Staff won't let me hire them. I get the same "So And So refuses to even begin negotiations with you" message. I even downloaded the 4.2 v all over again...did a fresh install...tried to start a new game...same thing. Not sure what is up. Any ideas? Does it make a difference if I am playing on a Windows 7 computer? Wouldn't think so...but you never know. Thanks in advance.

If you press ctrl+alt+delete during the loooong initial loading process, when you first make the game, then your game will become corrupted, including this staff problem. Thats my best guess as to what happened.

Try starting a new game, and press nothing at all while it loads it.

I had this problem a couple times, specifically when I started a new game, and then did some internet browsing on the computer while the game loaded. I'm using Windows 7 myself, and staff for the company were there and disgruntled, and I couldn't hire new staff.

Start a new game. While it's loading, walk away, should be fine when you get to the main screen.
