Yeah, rehab stints have a way of really screwing over the long term plans. Especially since they don't come with timeframe. I've had rehab trips go from two months to almost a year. Very frustrating.
That being said, Simon vs. Frankie over the stolen stash is MONEY.
Jed Shaffer ~But hey, if you fired him, you're not too far in, so the damage isn't as huge.

ECCW Hostile Intentions - 5/26/13
So coming into this month, we're at a new venue. Little bit bigger, little bit cleaner, same lighting that is poor for wrestling. You win some, you lose some. Tonight, I'm going to add in star ratings for the matches. You're welcome. Any way, we start with our preshow match.
-Segment 0- So our preshow match looks like a good one, as we get told it's going to be Viking against Karl Anderson. This could be pretty good. They do go back and forth, but it seems Viking can never quite get the advantage. Karl is on his game... until Viking gets his boots up for a charge into the corner. Viking starts gaining some steam, and a wild punch catches the ref, sending him down, because referees can't take punches. Viking then hits the la Tueur de Policiers, but the ref is still out. Viking goes to awake the ref, and instead gets hit with Karl's Gun Stun. The ref counts the three, and Karl nabs a win. He gets the hell out of there, having gotten lucky tonight. Viking complains to the ref, but to no avail. Winner: Karl Anderson by pinfall following a Gun Stun Crowd Reaction: 45% Match Quality: 79% Overall Rating: 62%
An enjoyable first match. Unlike every other show, they started with a heel winning. This one should be on the DVD, as it was a good match. Don't let us down, ECCW! This one earns *** stars and likes it however, as I feel they didn't do anything special.
-Segment 1- So Mauro gets in the ring and lets us know it's time for some wrestling. YAY! First up, we get the heel, "Psycho" Alex Payne. Payne does what he does best, and wanders to the ring yelling in gibberish. He even takes a bucket of popcorn from a fan, and throws it into the air like confetti, trying to catch it in his mouth. I laughed. The man who had the popcorn did not. His opponent is Chris Jones, who finally gets off the preshow. And this one is all about Payne, who is in control, doing all the little things a heel should do, not breaking clean in the corner, pulling the hair, good, solid work. The big thing here is that Jones kept coming at him, and in the end, Payne misses a Stinger Splash in the corner, leading to Jones hitting the Sky Twister Press on Payne to get the win. I didn't expect that. After the match, Chris Jones celebrates, but it is short lived, as Payne shoves the ref out of the way, and then plants Jones with a Fisherman Suplex. Winner: Chris Jones by pinfall after a Sky Twister Press Crowd Reaction: 33% Match Quality: 70% Overall Rating: 51% Alex Payne lost overness from this match. Chris Jones gained overness from this match.
This match was formulaic, with the heel cheating and the face having to be in peril. I think more can be done with Payne, though the popcorn thing was great. Jones is a great talent, but forgettable. This one gets ** stars.
-Segment 2- Following those two getting out of the ring, The Messiah's music hits, and he comes out with the ECCW Heavyweight Title around his waist. He proceeds to take a mic and tell us how the first step in cleansing our souls is complete, as he is our champion. He points out the sins we have, and how he is a role model for the children in attendance. Messiah then asks for anyone who'd like to be cleansed of their sins to get in the ring. A security guard gets into the ring and Messiah orders him to his knees, leading to a "You're a homo" chant. This causes Messiah to turn and chastise them, and when he turns around, Christin Able is in the ring, and promptly plants The Messiah with a Cutthroat Saito Suplex. Christin Able scoops up the ECCW Heavyweight Title and raises it above his head, which the crowd seems to enjoy. Overall Rating: 61%
So this was clearly a way to set up the title match announced on the website. Do I think the title changes hands? Absolutely not. But I liked the segment, it showed what Messiah plans to do, and it set Christin Able up as someone that Messiah should want to defeat soundly.
-Segment 3- Mauro gets back in the ring and lets us know that we're going to get the 4 corners elimination match next. He then introduces Zack Sabre Jr., who gives the crowd no attention, and it shows in his poor reaction. Next to the ring is Franky The Mobster. Franky gets a mixed reaction, to which he promptly starts screaming in an old woman's face. Next out is Ricky Vega, who is really playing up the stereotype, wearing a pancho and sombrero. And finally, we get CJ Banks, still cocky, still amazing. So this one was a very good match. The beginning was marked by CJ Banks clotheslining the referee, so when he goes for the pinfall on Franky, no one was there to count it. The first fall comes however when CJ Banks plants Zack Sabre Jr. and gets the pin. The next fall is mostly contested between Ricky Vega and CJ Banks, right up until Franky comes in and Big Boots Ricky Vega in the skull, easily getting the three count. Leaving only Franky and CJ in the ring, they go back and forth, until, out of nowhere, Franky hits the Big Boot. He waits for CJ to get to his feet and then plants him with the Credibility Statement and gets the win. Franky immediately starts shouting, getting out of the ring and screaming into the face of the same old woman as prematch. Winner: Franky The Mobster by pinfall following Credibility Statement Crowd Reaction: 46% Match Quality: 80% Overall Rating: 63%
A solid match. I would watch this again, especially to see Franky scream into the old woman's face. Franky is getting a mixed reaction, so it'll be something to keep an eye on, to see what they do with that, if anything. CJ Banks is one of the best guys on the undercard right now, putting on good matches consistently. This one gets **3/4 however, as, although good, it wasn't special.
-Segment 4- So next we are told we get the Falls Count Anywhere match between "The Highlight" Carter Gray and Hade Vansen. And this is a brawl, going everywhere in the building with nearfalls everywhere. Seeing Carter Gray doing a Shooting Star Press off a steel chair onto Hade was impressive, and they had some fun spots. In the end, Hade Vansen plants Carter Gray with the South City Killa for the pinfall victory. After the match, Hade gets up and stomps on Carter Gray, then gets down on his hands and knees and says into his face that he'll "never be at my level". I don't believe that's accurate, as they have had some decent matches. Winner: Hade Vansen via pinfall following a South City Killa Crowd Reaction: 39% Match Quality: 76% Overall Rating: 57%
Nothing stood out too much. They had a good match, and continued this feud, which I didn't expect following the added stip. The stip didn't really help either person show off, and it showed in the quality. I give it a **1/2 rating.
-Segment 5-[/i] Mauro gets in the ring and makes a big deal about the next match, which I've been looking at as a big bowl of "meh". He introduces first former ECCW Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns. Reigns comes to the ring looking determined and angry. He's followed out by the ultra-arrogant son of Vader, Jake Carter. And this was a brawl, but not a great one. These two do go back and forth, until Roman Reigns hits the Spear! He covers, and Jake is out before the three. That's unexpected. They go back and forth some more, and Jake ends up hitting his Pumphandle, but Reigns kicks out. Jake immediately gets in the refs face to argue, and the ref insists that it was two. Jake decides instead to go get a chair, slides in the ring, and plasters Roman Reigns with it to get the DQ. After the match, Jake hits Roman a few more times, and throws the chair down and stalks off. Winner: Roman Reigns by DQ following a chairshot Crowd Reaction: 49% Match Quality: 69% Overall Rating: 59%
This was exactly what I thought it would be: a mediocre brawl, at best. Unfortunately, it looks like we'll be seeing more of it. Sigh. I go with ** stars, and then we move on to intermission.
-Segment 6- Following the break in action, we get the ECCW Canadian Title match between the champion, Nightmare Manson, and the challenger, Joey Vengeance, who pinned him last month as part of a tag match. This one is a back and forth battle, which includes a ref bump, during which Joey Vengeance hits his Diamond Cutter and covers, the crowd counting the three, which obviously doesn't count. Joey then attempts to get the ref back awake, and Nightmare comes to and they start fighting. Nightmare sends Vengeance over the ropes and follows him out. They fight on the outside, and get counted out. And they don't stop there, they just keep fighting to the back. Winner: Draw via double countout Crowd Reaction: 41% Match Quality: 63% Overall Rating: 52% The ECCW Canadian Title has gained in image.
Okay, so the double countout was a good way to not make either person lose the match, and build up for a future match. However, they just didn't seem to "click". I expected this one to be better, but the best I can do is give it *1/2. Blown spots galore will do that to a match.
-Segment 7-[/i] Following that match, Mauro gets in the ring and tells us that, per the board of directors, he is to get Hade Vansen and Carter Gray out here. Gray comes out first, a little aprehensively. Vansen comes out after his song starts the second time, dark, gloomy, sullen. Mauro then tells them that they're going to settle things next month at Epidemic of Hate. Carter says that to end it, it needs to be big, and tells Hade that he wants it in a cage match. Vansen initially backs off, and Carter turns around to lead the crowd in a chant of "cage match". When he turns around, Hade hits him with the South City Killa (again). He then says it's on, and it'll end the same way their match tonight ended, with Carter getting beat. Overall Rating: 58% Hade Vansen gained overness from this segment. Carter Gray gained overness from this segment.
Nice way to hype next month. I'm not sure how I feel about "Epidemic of Hate". Is it really an epidemic? I dunno, but a cage match with these two should be fun.
-Segment 8-[/i] So now it's time for the main event, and we are going to get the returning Christin Able, who missed last months show due to his AAW commitments, and the new ECCW Heavyweight champion, The Messiah, witht the title ont he line. And these guys match up incredibly well across the board. When one guy wants to brawl, the other guy matches him, and the same for high-flying and mat-wrestling. Throughout the match they go back and forth, until out of nowhere, Messiah hits the Godsmack. And Able is out before the three! Messiah is in disbelief. Messiah drags Able to his feet, and Able surprises Messiah with the Cutthroat Saito Suplex, but he's unable to get the three! Both men have kicked out of the other's finisher! They both struggle to their feet and start exchanging blows again, leading finally to another Godsmack from Messiah, this one putting Able away for the count. Messiah grabs his title and rolls out of the ring, celebrating, telling the crowd how he cleansed one soul on the path of salvation for everyone else. Winner: The Messiah by pinfall following a Godsmack Crowd Reaction: 51% Match Quality: 97% (HOLY SHIT! I didn't expect that out of them) Overall Rating: 74% The ECCW Heavyweight Title has gained in image
Ho. Lee. Shit. That match was incredible. I didn't expect that AT ALL. Lots of stars, **** to be exact, and please let them revisit this later.
Overall Show Rating: 61%
-----------------------------------------------
This show didn't deliver for the most part, but the main event wipes that all away. If you don't find and watch the Main Event between Christin Able and The Messiah, I don't think we can be friends. Ever.
--------------------------------------------------
Show Notes/E-mails Hostile Intentions was attended by 275 people! We Made $5500 from ticket sales.
Kyle O'Reilly - I'd like to work with Christin Able if possible.
Joey Vengeance - Nightmare Manson and me don't really click. How about booking me against someone like CJ Banks? I think our styles would really work well together.
Hade Vansen - Carter Gray and me don't have much chemistry in the ring. How about putting me in a program with a worker like Viking? I think our styles would really work well together.
Alex Payne - Chris Jones and me don't really click. How about booking me against someone like Christin Able? I think our styles would really work well together.

End of Month E-mail - The following birthdays occured this month: Ricky Vega (28), Roman Reigns (28)

It's June 25th, and I totally remembered to check the website. It appears that Kyle O'Reilly is again booked for PWG, and now is no longer on the roster page... so that's a disappointment, though he hasn't been seen since February.
Here's what's announced on the website: Ricky Vega against CJ Banks
A four corners elimination match between Zack Sabre Jr., Franky The Mobster, "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson and Chris Jones
Christin Able taking on "Psycho" Alex Payne
Roman Reigns against Jake Carter
An ECCW Canadian Title match between Joey Vengeance and Nightmare Manson with no countouts or disqualifications
Carter Gray and Hade Vansen in a cage match
And the main event is being advertised as The Messiah against a mystery opponent
So, overall, this looks like it'll be a good show.

ECCW Epidemic of Hate - 6/30/13[/u]
Alright folks, we're getting closer to ECCW's July event, so I figured I'd get on here and let you know what happened last month. So let's start with the preshow match.
-Segment 0- So we start with a match between two of the better workers in the company, as Ricky Vega is out first, wearing his very stereotypical poncho and sombrero. He's followed out by the ultra-arrogant CJ Banks. And these two do everything they can to tear the house down. Both are flying around the ring well, with Vega having a slight advantage in the brawling, but Banks having the advantage when it comes to the technical wrestling. This one does come to a close with CJ Banks locking in a Texas Cloverleaf, and Ricky Vega tapping out. Following the match, CJ Banks celebrates like he's a conquering hero who has just vanquished his biggest villian, much to the crowd's disdain. Winner: CJ Banks by submission with a Texas Cloverleaf Crowd Reaction: 47% Match Quality: 82% Overall Rating: 64%
Two months in a row that the preshow has a heel going over a face. A liked this one a bit more, as CJ Banks really got the crowd to dislike him, warming the crowd up that way. I give it a **3/4, but I wanted to give it more.
-Segment 1-[/i] So Maura comes out and lets us know all the good stuff about the show. Don't touch the wrestlers and they won't touch you. Wear that ring rats, you can prevent STDs! He then introduces Jake Carter, the son of Vader, who comes out like he owns the place. Nothing too spectacular, just basic heel work. Mauro then introduces Roman Reigns, and the Samoan comes out giving high fives and being mostly a smiling good guy. And this was a battle between two people that are mediocre brawlers, at best, and not a lot else. So you know what you're getting going in. They go back and forth throughout, and Jake goes for his Pumphandle, and slips, nearly dropping Reigns on his head. He pulls him back up and hits it, but Reigns kicks out. More basic brawling, until Reigns catches Carter with a Samoan Drop, and follows it up with the Spear for the pin. He starts celebrating, and I do as well, as it means I won't have to watch this again. But, alas, I celebrated too soon, as Carter decides to shove the ref out of the way, and then, properly, hit Reigns with a Pumphandle. Winner: Roman Reigns by pinfall following a Spear Crowd Reaction: 49% Match Quality: 70% Overall Rating: 59%
This match was not something I enjoyed. Neither man is particularly talented, and I'm of mixed feelings on it appearing to continue. On one hand, I don't want to see it again. On the other, at least they're not ruining other people's matches. I give them **, and I'm feeling generous about that.
-Segment 2-[/i] Mauro gets back in the ring and lets us know we get a 4 corners elimination match. First, he introduces Chris Jones, the generic high-flying, hand-slapping, baby-kissing, politician-smiling good guy. Meh. Next they give us another good guy, Zack Sabre Jr. Zack however, appears to give zero fucks about the crowd, looking like he's just here to tear people's limbs off. They then introduce "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson, who comes out pantomiming shooting a tommy gun. And finally, the man the crowd is incredibly split on, Franky the (motherfuckin') Mobster! Franky comes to the ring, still acting the heel, and gets in the face of a small child, yelling at him, spittle flying. He is amazing. And the action is fast and furious, if you want to go with that analagy. And our first fall is a bit of face on face action as Zack Sabre Jr. plants Chris Jones with the Sabre Driver for the pin. From there, the heels do the dirty to Sabre for a bit, double-teaming him. Karl Anderson hits the Gun Stun and goes for a cover, and Franky kicks his head off! Figuratively. Franky then pins Anderson. Franky, wasting little time, waits for the woozy Zack Sabre Jr. to stand up, and goes for a Big Boot, but Zack ducks! They go from there, back and forth with Franky trying to beat the everlasting hell out of Zack, and Zack trying to ground Franky. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Zack locks Franky in the Cross Armbreaker! Franky taps! Franky is now rolling in the ring, yelling "Fuck, my arm!" repeatedly. Zack celebrates like like he's Barry Sanders, and gets his hand raised and walks off. Winner: Zack Sabre Jr. by submission over Franky the Mobster with a Cross Armbreaker Crowd Reaction: 43% Match Quality: 79% Overall Rating: 61%
I didn't expect Sabre to win. With the way Franky and Karl have performed lately, I expected one of them to come away with it. Hopefully Sabre's gimmick catches on. from here. Let's give this one... **3/4 stars!
-Segment 3- Following that, we get The Messiah in the ring. He lets us all know that last month, despite the efforts of Christin Able, he's still the champion, and still their only hope at salvation. He then states that he has been preaching about the sins of the masses, and many people have affirmed that he can and will save them. He is then interupted by some new, unknown music, and out comes a man wearing a CZW shirt. He proceeds to introduce himself as Scotty Vortekz, and lets The Messiah know that he is the challenger for tonight's title match, and offers to wrestle against The Messiah, another former CZW Wrestler in a hardcore match, which Messiah promptly accepts. Scotty then offers to do that match right now. But before they can go any farther, two men come from the back and beat down Scotty Vortekz, busting him open and stomping at him until Messiah tells them to stop. He then introduces us to his Disciples of Salvation, Damien Kass and Byron Wilcott. They each then drop to one knee, bowing their head in his direction as Messiah spreads his arms and tilts his head back. Overall Rating: 52%
Good segment. It accomplished the goals of introducing us to Scotty Vortekz, who will be challenging for the title, and to Damien Kass and Byron Wilcott, the Disciples of Salvation. Nothing too spectacular here.
-Segment 4- Following that segment, we get a match between last months challenger, Christin Able, and "Psycho" Alex Payne. And these guys have a fantastic match, but when it comes down to it, Payne just isn't as talented as Able, and Able plants him with the Cutthroat Saito Suplex to get the pinfall. Payne nearly immediately heads the back, shouting gibberish, as Able celebrates in the ring, telling the crowd that he's going to take the title from The Messiah. Winner: Christin Able by pinfall following a Cutthroat Saito Suplex Crowd Reaction: 49% Match Quality: 91% Overall Rating: 70%
This was a great match. Again, Christin Able shows he's one of the best performers in the company, as he drops a gem. But these crowds need to get into these matches to put it over the top, as the most I can give this one is ***1/4.
-Segment 5-[/i] And there's a short delay as they put the cage up, that during which they tell us to buy merch. Following that, we get the Cage Match between "The Highlight" Carter Gray and Hade Vansen. Dear God, that cage scares me, it rattles and looks as if it's going to come apart each time someone is thrown into it. Hade Vansen is in control for the most part, but Carter Gray does what he needs to in order to stay in it. Carter ducks a big clothesline from Hade and plants him with a huge neckbreaker. He then climbs up on the turnbuckle and hits the Shooting Star Press, and the referee counts the 3! This one is over, and Carter Gray finally puts away Hade Vansen, one hundred percent cleanly in the cage! Carter gets out of the cage and heads into the crowd and celebrates with them as they head to intermission. Winner: "The Highlight" Carter Gray by pinfall following a Shooting Star Press Crowd Reaction: 43% Match Quality: 76% Overall Rating: 59%
This was a good match, but nothing really special happened. I think it actually was detrimental to have the cage, as it wasn't strong enough to do anything with, but kept them from doing anything special. They get **1/2 rating, and that's that.
-Segment 6- Coming back from intermission, we get the No Countout, No DQ match. First we get to see the challenger, Joey Vengeance. He's followed by by the current ECCW Canadian Champion, Nightmare Manson, who is brandishing his Singaport Cane, as always. And this match goes everywhere in the building, off of walls, onto the hardwood floor. They use any weapons they can find, especially the Singapore Cane. It finally does come to an end with both men busted open, and Nightmare Manson plants Joey Vengeance with his Minister! And that nabs him the pinfall. Manson celebrates as the crowd boos him moderately. Winner: Nightmare Manson by pinfall after a Minister Crowd Reaction: 42% Match Quality: 63% Overall Rating: 52%
These two just didn't click well, and it led to some blown spots that took away from this one. I give them *1/2, and they'll just have to deal with it.
-Segment 7- Following that, we get treated to a low-quality video of Christin Able laying the verbal smack down on The Messiah. Nothing major, just stating that he's coming after the belt, no matter what obstacles are placed in his path. Overall Rating: 72% Christin Able gained overness from this segment.
Let's hear it for a generic segment saying "let's fight some time down the road"!
-Segment 8-[/i] So it's main event time, so lets do this! Vortekz and Messiah go back and forth with the ECCW Heavyweight Title on the line. A lot of good wrestling, and a lot of nearfalls. In the end, the Disciples of Salvation make their way out. With Damien Kass on the apron, drawing the ref's attention and allowing Byron Wilcott to punch Vortekz in the back of the head with a chain. Both Disciples drop off the apron and Messiah hits Vortekz with the Godsmack to pick up the win. Afterwards, all three men beat Vortekz down again and then mirror the pose from earlier with both Disciples on one knee, head bowed, with The Messiah standing, arms out, head back. Winner: The Messiah by pinfall following Disciple-ference Crowd Reaction: 53% Match Quality: 79% Overall Rating: 66%
A solid match to close the show. Clearly, Messiah and Able had more chemistry, but this was a good match, and with Vortekz getting screwed over, and Able wanting a piece of Messiah, it appears we'll have some intrigue in the title scene.
Overall Show Rating: 61%
--------------------------------------
This was a good show. Nothing too bad, nothing great. Good show to watch on this one.
------------------------------------
Show Notes/E-mails Epidemic of Hate was atteneded by 276 people! We made $5520 from ticket sales.
Joey Vengeance and Nightmare Manson didn't 'click' in their match, maybe due to their mismatched skills causing their styles not to gel?
Hade Vansen - Carter Gray and me don't have much chemistry in the ring. How about putting me in a program with a worker like Scotty Vortekz? I think our styles would really work well together.
