Phoenix Championship Wrestling!

So, for my next diary I decided to go (Sort of) old school and start with the original EWR 4.2 Data. I then decided to steal Dan O'Mac's idea of making a small company big. I picked PCW, then fired almost the entire roster, only keeping Eric Justice, Khull, Lil' Ricky, Louie Moxie, Robbie Moxie and Tank Toland.

PCW FireBird TV!

Our commentators, Mike Johnson and Steve Michael Payton welcome us to the first edition of FireBird TV in the "new" PCW era. They pimp the card, which includes the beginning of the PCW championship tourney and the crowning of new tag team champs and that sends us to our opening match!

Opener: Pure Catastrophe vs Chance Meeting vs. Moxie Family vs. Strong Brothers for the PCW tag team championships!
After a good start to the match, Pure Catastrophe are eliminated at 2:24 after a Michinoku Driver from Sedrick Strong followed up by a Swanton Bomb from his brother Roderick. The second elimination comes at 4:35, when Cade Sydal hits his finisher, the Hang Over, on Louie Moxie for the three. Straight after that, Sedrick Strong rolls Sydal up and grabs the tights for the three, ending the match at 4:41.

Notes: Cade Sydal debuted his new gimmick (Highlight Reel), it got a positive response. Sedrick Strong debuted his new gimmick (Franchise Player), it got a positive response. Roderick Strong debuted his new gimmick (Chosen One), it got a positive response. Robbie Moxie debuted his new gimmick (Cocky), it got a positive response. Louie Moxie debuted his new gimmick (Arrogant), it got a positive response. Pure Talent debuted his new gimmick (Arrogant), it got a positive response. Catastrophe debuted his new gimmick (Sidekick), it got a positive response. The PCW Tag Team titles have gained in image. Sedrick Strong is losing overness because of his weak gimmick (Lolwut?)

Second match: Eric Justice vs. Blind Rage
This is a first-round match in the PCW championship match, and is a bit of a styles clash between the high-flying Blind Rage and the brawler Eric Justice so the match isn't the best. Justice picks up the win at 5:19. After the match Justice offers Rage his hand and Rage takes it, then decks Justice!

Notes: Eric Justice debuted his new gimmick (Old School Face), it got a positive response. Blind Rage debuted his new gimmick (Gothic), it got a positive response.

Third match: Genesis vs. Billy Kim
Another first-round match. Genesis is introduced as "The Future of PCW" whilst Kim was introduced as the "Human Highlight" . A better match than the first round one match, as the high-flying Genesis' style Kim's so the two put on a good show, and Kim wins after a Moonsault. The two shake hands post-match.

Notes: Genesis debuted his new gimmick (Evolution), it got a positive response. Billy Kim debuted his new gimmick (Daredevil), it got a positive response.

Fourth match: Alex Shelley vs. Carlton Kaz
A great first-round match, as the all-rounder Shelley takes on the rich asshole Carlton Kaz. The two put on a good, technical wrestling match and Shelley wins with a beautiful Corkscrew Leg Drop from the top rope. After the match, Kaz attacks Shelley.

Main Event: Justin Sane vs. Tank Tolland
As soon as the bell rings, Sane is all over Tolland. Eventually he hits a German Suplex off the apron and Tolland gets counted out.

Yeah, had h in developmental in a WWE game and he came out two years in, wirh 90's or above in everything.

You... Just gave me an excellent idea... If only I could hire Raven... *sighs*

I stumbled across this randomly looking for a google search for EWR. I would like to say personally thank you for the praise. I worked with ECCW for a bit but retired from the sport around 2005 making a small training comeback with Portland Wrestling in 2010/2011 before hanging it all up for good. There was never a proper picture for me in the game but it was an honor being in it and having users excited to play and sign and use my virtual being. Very cool to find this tonight.
