Results for Kick Start 2014:
“I’m Scott Johnson and alongside me is color man extraordinaire, Brian Ibbott. We’d like to welcome you to the inaugural event of Ohio Wrestling Network: Kick Start 2014!”
“And not a moment too soon because here comes Anthony Barttlett” says Ibbot.
Segment 1 – Anthony Bartlett strides out of the locker room in a nice suit, microphone in hand. Bartlett goes to the center of the ring and clears his throat.
“Welcome gentlemen,” he looks around, “and lady, to Kick Start 2014. Let me make one thing clear from the start. I. Am. The. Boss. This isn’t going to be a company where the clowns run the circus. No, I’m going to put on a wrestling exhibition each and every month and you are going to get your money worth.”
Segment Rating: 57%
Segment 2 “To that end,” Bartlett continues, “let me introduce you to the man who will no without a doubt be your first OWN World Champion, Kassius.”
Kassius comes out of the locker room and slides into the ring. He shakes Bartletts hand and takes the mic. “You may as well start chanting my name now, because I’m not even going to break a sweat in winning the belt tonight.”
Segment Rating: 49%
Segment 3 J.P. Munro vs Mr. Intelligence
Munro and Mr. I get into the ring and get down to some decent technical wrestling. Mr. I can’t quite keep up with Munro’s speed and begins to wear down until a momentary lapse of concentration let’s Munro pull him down with a leg drag and slap on the Crotch Hold. The rope is just out of Mr. I’s reach and he’s forced to tap!
Munro climbs the turnbuckle and thumps his chest in victory.
Segment rating 26%
Segment 4 Eddie Craven comes out with a mic. “Look, you fans aren’t even worth my . . .” New music intrupts Craven as John Ritchie joins him in the ring.
“No one wants to hear your crap. Put your money where your mouth is.” says Ritchie
Segment rating 40%
Segment 5 Craven vs Ritchie
Ritchie and Craven throw their mics aside and get down to business. They trade blows and Craven starts to tire. From nowhere, Craven hits a clothesline and rolls Ritchie up, grabbing a handful of tights to reach the 3 count. Ritchie is furious and renews the attack and they trade blows back to the locker room.

Segment 7 Bartlett vs Blade
The match ebbs and flows as Blade lands hard punches and kicks but is no match for Bartlett’s technical ability as Bartlett gets a series of joint locks. Eventually, as Blade’s size and strength starts to tell the tale, Bartlett pulls a pair of brass knuckles from his tights. But Blade sees them and manages to land a devastating Powerslam before Bartlett can put the knuckles to use. 1,2,3 and Blade wins. Then, as the referee stands up he sees the knuckles laying on the mat and DQs Blade!
The Boss takes to the turnbuckles with a sly smile to celebrate his victory.

Segment 8 A video plays showing Konrad drinking beer and winning fights in bars.

Konrad and Kassius enter the ring and meet in the center for a staredown. Thirty long seconds pass until Kassius throws the first punch, and Konrad catches it! From there it’s on as Kassius tries to overpower Konrad but is thwarted by Konrad’s superior technical ability. Finally, Konrad whips Kassius into the ropes and staggers him with a knee to the chest. Then he picks him up and drops Kassius spine first onto his leg for the Radbuster! The cover is a formality as Konrad wins the belt for the first time ever.
Konrad extends his hand to Kassius. Kassius thinks for a second then shakes it. As Konrad turns to celebrate, Kassius levels him with a round house punch before heading back to the locker room.

Nowhere to Run 2014
Saturday October 25, 2014
Segment 0 John Ritchie strides to ring. “You fans are lucky to be here tonight. That’s because you get to see me, John Ritchie, a five time champion, destroy this pitiful excuse of a wrestler: Mr. Intelligence. As a matter of fact, you don’t deserve to see it. Leave! Get out! You can come back when I’m done.”
Segment rating 40%
John Ritchie gained overness
“Welcome to Nowhere to Run 2014. I’m Scott Johnson and this is my partner Brian Ibbott. We’ve got a full card for you tonight culminating in a rematch between your World Champion Konrad and the Boss’s Number 1 Contender, Konrad!”
“But what about this match between new comer, Enygma and a wrestler to be announced?” asks Brian. “What does Bartlett have up his sleeve there?”
“We’re going to have to wait to find out, because here come John Ritchie and Mr. Intelligence!”
Segment 1 John Ritchie vs Mr. Intelligence
The action goes back and forth with both wrestlers trading two counts. Ritchie appears to be getting frustrated when maneuvers Mr. Intelligence’s back to the referee and hits the low blow! Ritchie rolls him up and gets the 3 count. The referee missed the low blow! Ritchie is out of the ring and down the aisle before Mr. Intelligence can recover.
Segment rating: 28%
Segment 2 Anthony Bartlett vs J.P. Munro
Bartlett comes out and gets the early advantage but Munro slowly starts to fight back. Bartlett gets more and more desperate. Bartlett tries and ill-advised charge and Munro clotheslines him and slaps on the infamous Crotch Hold! Bartlett’s too far from the ropes and taps out! Munro takes to the turnbuckles to celebrate but Bartlett’s in the referees face. The ring announcer comes to the side of the ring.
“Ladies and gentlemen, Commissioner Bartlett has reminded the referee of an update to OWN rules just prior to tonight’s event. Apparently yellow laces are no longer permitted on wrestling boots. On that basis, the referee was disqualified Munro. Your winner, by disqualification, Anthony Bartlett.”
Munro jumps down from the turnbuckles and attacks Bartlett and they brawl to the back.
Segment rating: 34%
Segment 3
A video rolls on the big screen. The room is dark with a man sitting backlit in a chair. “Wrestling is all there is to life. Victory is more important than breath. There is nothing else.
Segment rating: 66%
Segment 4
Blade enters the ring before his match and calls out Eddie Craven for cheating in his last match. Craven comes and explains he would only have to use an unfair tactic in this match if he was wrestling Blade’s grandmother.
Segment rating 32%
Segment 5 Blade vs Eddie Craven
Blade connects with rights and lefts and Eddie Craven is down! Blade slams Eddie Craven down and motions to the crowd. There's a two count on the pin. Eddie Craven fights out of a grapple. Blade tastes a high angle back suplex. If Spike Lee can sue TNN over the Spike TV nonsense, then Kurt Angle should be able to sue SOMEONE for that. Craven takes down Blade and begins wailing away with some weak punches. Craven just FLATTENS Blade with a hard right hand! Blade reverses a hip toss. Nice piledriver on Craven. Blade moves in for the kill. Powerslam!!! That shook the ring. 1....2....3!!
Blade goes over to Craven and reaches out a hand to help him up but Craven spits in his face!
Segment 6
A camera finds Anthony Bartlett in his office with Kassius and Enygma. “I’m the commissioner of this company and this company is going to be run by the Management!” says Bartlett. “Kassius, I said you’re going to be World Champion and I meant it. And Enygma is just the man to make sure it happens.”
Segment Rating 49%
Enygma gains overness
Segment 7 Enygma vs TBA
Bartlett and Enygma come out to the ring and Bartlett takes the mic. “So, last month Konrad got lucky and won the OWN World Championship against a clearly superior wrestler. Clearly such a fluke won’t happen twice in a row. However, in the interest of fairness, I thought I would arrange some training for Konrad so that he would have the slightest chance of retaining the title. To that end, he will have a match now against Enygma. So Blade get your butt out here.”
Blade comes out, slides into the ring and it’s on. The match looks even for some time and the wrestlers begin to visible tire. Finally Konrad whips Enygma into the ropes and hits the Radbuster as he comes back and covers for the pin.
Segment rating 46%
Segment 8 OWN World Championship Konrad vs Kassius
As soon as the bell signals the end to the prior match, Kassius comes into the ring and the bell goes to start the next match. Konrad is clearly gassed and Kassius is toying with him in the ring. Konrad puts in a valiant effort but Enygma has taken too much out of him. Kassius hits the Roman Evolution and Konrad is in serious trouble! Kassius lifts his hands in forthcoming victory.
Before Kassius can cover up, a large muscle-bound man runs down the aisle with a chair and slides into the ring. Kassius hasn’t seen him coming and gets laid out with a hit to the head from behind as the stranger howls. He then turns the chair on Konrad for a few shots. The referee throws the match out due to interference.
“Who is that?” asks Scott Johnson.
“I think that’s the new wrestler, Jonny C, and I don’t think he liked being left off the card.” responds Ibbott.
Behind them as the video fades to black the crowd can be heard chanting “That was stu-pid.”

Are the workers real wrestlers with new names, or people we've never heard of? Or are they completely fictitious?
Also, what size is your promotion?
Jed Shaffer ~My formatting is good enough to borrow? And here I thought it was kinda mundane.

Are the workers real wrestlers with new names, or people we've never heard of? Or are they completely fictitious? Also, what size is your promotion? Jed Shaffer ~My formatting is good enough to borrow? And here I thought it was kinda mundane. Your guess is as good as mine. I'm using the default database that came with the download, circa 2000 as far as I can tell. I started as a Backyard promotion with 50% public image and $1 million in the till. I made a set of staff (one of each except two writers) with skills between 15 and 20 at a salary of $2,000. That's the limit of editing I started with. The wrestlers are basically the cheapest guys in the database as I'm trying to stick to shows that at worst break even. So whether they're real wrestlers or products of Mr. Ryland's imagination or random generator is beyond my keen.

The absolute default database? I love running games on that, because I can get Cade Sydal over like an Apple Turn! (get it? Over like an Apple Turn? Apple Turnover!!!)
Now I want to start a new game on the default database
