Preview for Throwdown, February 2, 2009:*The card for Do Or Die has been updated! Scroll down the latest changes!* - Roderick Strong will return to Ring Of Honor tonight, and his first opponent when he steps into the ring for the first time since Final Battle will be Michael Quackenbush Spillane. It's a non-title match, but Strong's mind isn't on belts, judging from what happened at Lacey's last night in ROH. - Christian Cage shocked the world by coming out as the enforcer for the Eddie Kingston/Edge ROH World Title match. Now a member of Ring Of Honor, Cage is jumping right in and taking it to his old friend by partnering with the man whom Edge has tormented for months, Paul Burchill. The only issue? Edge has no partner. Will “The Rated-R Superstar” be forced to stand alone against two very difficult enemies, or can he pull a rabbit out of his hat? - Shawn Michaels has delivered the challenge to Bryan Danielson for Do Or Die: a 60-minute Iron Man match. Tonight, Michaels will take on another former student, Brian Kendrick. Meanwhile, Danielson will respond to the challenge! - Also, we expect to hear from Homicide and Network Representative Don Callis with announcements regarding Do Or Die. Rumor has it Homicide has a challenge for someone, while Callis would only tell us this: it will reshape the direction of Do Or Die to “fit The Honor Guard’s manifesto”. - Nigel McGuinness was seconds away from capturing the ROH World Title at A New Level before Steve Corino used a chair to disqualify himself and protect Eddie Kingston’s title run. McGuinness is in a foul mood now, and he will be in tag action tonight, looking to vent, since Corino is on the shelf with an ankle injury. His partner will be Claudio Castagnoli, and their opponents will be Arik Cannon and “Diamond” Joey Ryan. Ryan exiled his former manager for a month from the promotion for a month, and is looking forward to a month of focusing on moving upward in the company. Cannon, meanwhile is looking to punish Castagnoli. - Our main event is a rematch from A New Level, with Chris Hero facing Jimmy Jacobs. The two had a knock-down, drag-out crazy fight that went into the concourse of the arena, before ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston got involved due to the apparent theft of his championship belt by Jacobs. Hero did not like his old nemesis getting involved and costing him the victory for selfish reasons, and he wants another crack at Jacobs before, as Hero puts it, “spending a few weeks smacking the stupid out of Kingston’s head”. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Results for Throwdown:
“The show may be shorter, and you may have to stay up a little later, but the action’s never been hotter! Good evening, everyone, welcome to Throwdown on The CW Network! I’m Steven Manning, alongside Taz, bringing you live professional wrestling from the #1 promotion in all the world!”
“And tonight, Steven, it don’t get no better!” says Taz. “We got five big matches!”
“That’s right, Taz: Roderick Strong’s return from exile, a rematch from A New Level, and two huge tag matches, one of which will feature Christian Cage’s first match as a full-time member of ROH … but we’re gonna kick it off with the Throwdown debut of a man who wrestled his first Ring Of Honor match last Tuesday … Shawn Michaels!”
1st segment: Shawn Michaels vs. Brian Kendrick The Heartbreak Kid and another of his former students square off in the opener, and before the bell rings to kick it off, Bryan Danielson joins the announce team. Danielson doesn’t reply to anything asked or said to him, choosing to focus on the match instead. Michaels is all business and, once again, looks as good as he ever did, against the lightning quick Kendrick. In the end, Kendrick tries a moonsault, which Michaels avoids by moving in towards the turnbuckle. Kendrick lands on his feet in time for Michaels to kick his head into next Tuesday. After the pinfall, Danielson, a sneer on his face, puts down the headset and walks to the back, never taking his eyes off Michaels. **1/2 Winner: Michaels (pinfall, Sweet Chin Music) Quality: 78% Crowd: 80% Overall: 79% 2nd segment: Roderick Strong vs. Michael Quackenbush Spillane w/The Industrial Revolution, non-title match Strong comes to the ring looking different, sporting some facial hair, and wearing long tights. As soon as he grapples with MQS, it’s obvious Strong is a different man in the ring too, as there is a more systematic, mechanical, almost angry approach to him. MQS’ back-up never even gets a chance to interfere, as Strong dissects MQS like a high school student would a frog, and has him tapping after transitioning from a Gibson Driver into a Stronghold. As JBL helps out his business partner, Strong demands a microphone. “Austin … I know you’re here,” says Strong. “I can feel you. I know you can’t stay away. I know you want my blood. We don’t have to wait until Do Or Die for you to get a taste. I’m right here. Whenever you want some.” Strong stands idle for a moment … and then spins around to meet Austin Aries as Aries tries to sneak in from behind through the crowd, clobbering his former best friend with the microphone. Strong walks away, leaving Aries to shake out the cobwebs. ***1/2 Winner: Strong (submission, Stronghold) Quality: 87% Crowd: 76% Overall: 81% 3rd segment: Christian Cage & Paul Burchill vs. Edge & ? Cage and Burchill stand in their corner, waiting for Edge’s partner to reveal himself. Even Edge looks nervous, until the music hits, and through the curtain comes BRENT ALBRIGHT. “What’s … I don’t get … what’s he doing with Edge?!?” says Manning. “The last time we saw Brent Albright …” “I’ll bet you what got into Brent Albright’s head was one thing, Steven: money!” However, the Edge/Albright partnership falls apart quickly, as Edge will only get in the ring when his team has an advantage, and he runs like a coward when he’s faced with an opponent on equal footing. Eventually, seeing his chances of winning going up in smoke, Edge abandons the match, leaving Albright to take the pinfall. ***1/2 Winners: Cage & Burchill (pinfall, Burchill pins Albright, curb stomp) Quality: 86% Crowd: 82% Overall: 84% 4th segment: “Right now, I understand we have Bryan Danielson standing by to address Shawn Michaels’ challenge for Do Or Die,” says Steven Manning. The camera cuts to Danielson, in the locker room of The Honor Guard, standing in front of a banner with their modified sword-in-hand ROH logo. As usual, Danielson’s face is a twisted sneer. “It’s sad, Shawn,” he begins, “it’s sad to see you clutching at the last remaining straws of your fame. It’s like that Wrestler movie; you just can’t accept time’s passed you by. You haven’t so much as had a cup of coffee with a world championship in seven years, Shawn, what does that tell you? It tells me you’ve outlasted your own career. If you were to step on a basketball court with Lebron, would you say you kept up with him even if you lost by fifty? You didn’t hang with me at A New Level. If you had, you would’ve posed a threat at some point in the 30 minutes. You just weren’t smart enough to stay down. That doesn’t deserve my respect, and it sure doesn’t earn a handshake. And now you want to go sixty minutes, old man? You want to teach me a lesson, maybe knock some sense into me? An Iron Man match is the perfect opportunity for me to do that to you. I can do the honorable thing and help you put your career out of our misery. But I’m not gonna cripple you, Shawn. I’m gonna do much, much worse. You’ll walk out of the ring, and you’ll do it with your head cast do—“ Danielson’s sentence gets clipped off as Don Callis and Homicide walk into frame. “What?” says Danielson, perturbed. “We have limited television time, Bryan. We need to use it wisely. I have a few announcements, and Nigel still has a match.” Danielson’s face goes from a sneer to downright irritation. “Fine. I wasn’t in the middle of anything important, like accepting a challenge from an iconic wrestler. Go, go right ahead.” “Thanks.” Callis clears his throat, adjusts his tie, and turns to the camera. “Ladies and gentlemen, friends of Ring Of Honor, supporters of the cause! Tonight, February 2, 2009, I have three pertinent announcements to make. Firstly, our Honor Guard brother Homicide, was unduly robbed of his Wrestler’s Choice Championship at A New Level by a common street thug. Now, I am unable to alter the stipulations of the championship, so this gutter trash Ruckus is able to dictate the terms under which he will defend his championship. But what I can control is his opponent, and to that end, I am announcing that at Do Or Die, in the stipulations of his choosing, Ruckus will defend the Wrestler’s Choice Championship against Homicide!” Callis lets the crowd cheer at the announcement for a few seconds before continuing. “Secondly, regarding Do Or Die. With the addition of the previously stated title defense, that makes five matches signed thus far for the event. And at the roots of all of them seem to be deep-seeded hatred, much deeper than normal. It is my opinion—and in Ring Of Honor, my opinion is law—that this event needs to live up its moniker. Therefore, all matches at Do Or Die will be fought with stipulations! As a result, the already booked matches will be modified with stipulations and specific winning conditions. Austin Aries versus Roderick Strong will be a Fight Without Honor!” “A fitting stipulation!” says Manning as the crowd cheers. “The ROH Tag Team Championship match will be a Tables match!” “Someone’s gettin’ wood!” says Taz. “The ROH World Title match will be an I Quit match!” “Good lord! Neither of those men would ever say those words!” “And when BJ Whitmer faces Jimmy Rave, Whitmer’s career will be on the line!” In unison, Manning and Taz exclaim; “What?!” “Any matches signed henceforth will also be modified with stipulations or conditions. Do Or Die will be true to its name! And now, the final announcement, which is actually two announcements in one. Last week, on Unleashed, The Honor Guard stood tall, thanks to Bryan Danielson’s courageous victory in the Rumble Royale. It was a feat of athleticism, intelligence and endurance, and we applaud his victory. There is a slight change to the prize for winning, though.” Danielson, off camera watching with his arms crossed, suddenly comes back into frame. “What? What’s changed?” “Well, two things. One, the title shot will now be happening in April, at Ring Of Honor’s annual spring supershow, Supercard Of Honor. There are internal reasons for this as well, things which don’t need to be discussed at the current timeframe. I’m sorry for the delay, friends. Now, as to the other issue.” Callis turns and puts a hand on Danielson’s shoulder. “Bryan, your victory was a victory for The Honor Guard, yes?” “Well, yes, in a way.” “Then I’m sure you’ll understand when I say that, at Supercard Of Honor, it will be Nigel McGuinness taking the title shot.” Danielson’s eyes go wide and his face flushes. “ What?! That’s my shot! I earned it! I fought twenty-nine other guys for it!” “That’s right, and as I said, it was a victory for all of us, Bryan. Don’t think we don’t value your contributions. But you understand that Nigel is our most valuable asset, right? He is the one destined to lead this company to the promised land, through this valley of the shadow of Death. You know you play an integral role in our getting there, and what you accomplished in the Rumble Royale will not be forgotten.” Callis puts his hand on Danielson’s shoulder again. “Glory for one of us is glory for all of us, Bryan. When Nigel becomes ROH World Champion, his victory will be all our victory. The ROH World Championship will be home soon, held safely against the bosom of the rightful owners, The Honor Guard.” Callis gives Danielson’s shoulder a few claps and adds, “I knew you’d understand once it was laid out before you,” before walking off, leaving Danielson to seethe. Quality: Crowd: Overall: 80% 5th segment: Nigel McGuinness & Claudio Castagnoli vs. “Diamond” Joey Ryan & Arik Cannon “This is a huge opportunity, for both Ryan and Cannon,” says Manning, as Ryan locks up with McGuinness. Together, the four put on a decent match, with Ryan showing he has what it takes to step up the ladder, and Cannon proving to Castagnoli he won’t go quietly into the night. And although arrogance plays a part in the Honor Guard team making mistakes, it is also a testament to the abilities of Ryan and Cannon, as they wrestle smart, using their heads and not their hearts. The end comes when Castagnoli tries to charge Ryan in the corner, and Ryan dodges; Castagnoli hits, turns and staggers away. Ryan kicks out one of Castagnoli’s legs, tags in Cannon, and Cannon nails the Glimmering Warlock, while Ryan keeps McGuinness at bay. But McGuinness punts Ryan in the nuts, and together, he and Castagnoli zero in on Cannon … until Steve Corino comes down with his cane, reaches under the bottom rope and breaks it over McGuinness’ ankle. The distraction is enough for Cannon to collect himself and fight off Castagnoli, while Corino uses the broken end of the cane and jams it into McGuinness’ ankle until the authorities pull him off. ***1/2 Winners: Cannon & Ryan (pinfall, Cannon on Castagnoli, Glimmering Warlock) Quality: 87% Crowd: 82% Overall: 84% 6th segment: Jimmy Jacobs vs. Chris Hero Jacobs meets Hero in the aisle before the bell rings, picking up where their last fight left off. And since neither man seems intent on paying attention to rules, the ref just lets their fight travel again. This time, it goes into the bowels of the building, and they use their environment as a weapon, including steaming hot pipes, wire mesh safety windows, and anything not nailed down. And like before, Eddie Kingston can’t help but get involved … but this time, with having already gotten what he wanted, Kingston this time attacks Jacobs, yelling about how he wants his belt back. But Hero takes exception and punches Kingston. The two start trading stiff punches and strikes until Jacobs comes back up, and the both of them lay out Jacobs. Hero covers Jacobs, but as soon as the ref calls it done, Hero is back on his feet, butting heads with Kingston. But before anything can come of it, Adam Pearce, William Hunter Johnston and The Elite run in and nail Kingston and Hero. Throwdown fades to black on Hero and Kingston, out cold, while Pearce and his minions look on. ***3/4 Winner: Hero (pinfall, double-team punch-a-thon) Quality: 87% Crowd: 87% Overall: 86% Overall show rating: 82% Tuesday, February 3, 2009: Email:1) IWC Monday are trying to compete with us, but are being destroyed in the ratings. 2) We got a 4.57 rating for 'Throwdown', drawing 5610 for $224,400. 3) TNA got a 0.87 television rating for 'TNA Monday'. 4) IWC got a 1.75 television rating for 'IWC Monday'. 5) TNA have released Johnny Swinger, Robert Roode, Chase Stevens and Tomko. 6) HWA have released Tack, Scottie Murray, Quinten Lee and Melliki. 7) CMLL have released Rey Bucanero, Perro Aguayo Jr. and Magnum TOKYO. 8) WXW have released Alere Little Feather. 9) WLW have released Mike DiBiase and Ted Jr DiBiase. 10) IWS have released Viking and EXesS. 11) NWA-S have released Danny Jaxx and John Shane. 12) HWA have fired staff members Gumbo Malone, Adam Morantz, Joan Aceste, Droz and Jon Price. 13) IWS have fired staff member Mike Rotch. Preview for Unleashed, February 4, 2009:*The card for Do Or Die has been updated! Scroll down the latest changes!* - Michael Quackenbush Spillane is almost through two months as Bold Future Champion. One more month, and he has a shot at the Wrestler's Choice Champion. But before that, there's a title defense this week, and to no one's surprise, he's decided to have Charles Taylor Esq. defend for him. Who will the opponent be? We don't know! - BJ Whitmer's career hangs in the balance at Do Or Die. He'll be getting in shape by taking on "The A-Lister" Rob Conway. The egomaniac has been looking to make a big splash since arriving in ROH, and this could be the chance of a lifetime. - The Motor City Machine Guns will be defending their ROH Tag Team Championships tonight, against the duo of "Malibu" Tyler Black and "Champagne" Kory Chavis. The Guns, while popular with the fans, have become two of the most hated men in the locker room for how they won the belts. Murderdeathkill, The Burning River Brigade, La Raza, The Elite, The Last Hard Men, and numerous others have expressed dissatisfaction. Even if they succeed, will they get out of the arena alive? - Bryan Danielson had an ROH World Title shot in his hands, only for it to be handed to Nigel McGuinness. Tonight, Danielson will be looking to take out his anger on someone, and he'll do so in tag action, as he partners with Homicide to take on Ruckus and Shawn Michaels! - We have a big main event tag match tonight. On Throwdown, Eddie Kingston stuck his nose into the Chris Hero/Jimmy Jacobs match, much to the chagrin of both men. Tonight, Kingston and Hero will be stuck relying on one another, as they partner up against Jimmy Jacobs and Adam Pearce. The Honor Guard's ring general has it out for Hero and Kingston, and partnering with Jacobs may be a means to an end ... but will it backfire? Plus: Austin Aries, El Generico, Conrad Kennedy III, "Diamond" Joey Ryan, Steve Corino, Nigel McGuinness and more! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wednesday, February 4, 2009: Email:none Results for Unleashed: 1st segment, ROH Bold Future Championship match: Charles Taylor Esq. (proxy) w/JBL & Michael Quackenbush Spillane. ? Unleashed starts in the ring, with Charles Taylor Esq. once again pinch hitting for his boss. Everyone waits for the mystery opponent to be named, and it is MAXIME BOYER. He comes out to little fanfare, but puts on an insane clinic of fast-paced wrestling that gets a respectable “please come back” chant from the crowd even after he fails to beat Taylor. **1/4 Winner: Taylor (pinfall, Omega Driver) Still Bold Future Champion: Michael Quackenbush Spillane Quality: 83% Crowd: 50% Overall: 66% 2nd segment: Steve Corino sits in a chair on the interview area backstage, twirling his cane in his hand. "It's funny ... suddenly, I've become House. I have a bum wheel, I say whatever I feel and I don't give a damn how people take it, I'm older than most of the people in the room, and even if they don't like me, everybody else looks to me to solve the problem." Corino leans forward, putting his elbows on his knees. "You want me to play doctor? Well, here's a diagnosis: I'm sick. I'm sick of being the leader nobody wants. I didn't ask to be the beacon of light, and everybody I'm expected to lead, they doesn't want me to lead anyway. BJ, Hero, Kingston, MDK, nobody. Nobody likes me, and nobody likes each other. And that's fine … on the surface. This is wrestling, not a sewing circle. We beat each other up for a living." Corino sits back again. "And you want to know another diagnosis? Ring Of Honor is sick. Sick, and dying, and that's because guys like me, and Kingston, and BJ, and Hero, we can't get along. We don't like each other, we don't trust each other ... and that's turned us into one-man-armies, stupidly trying to stand in the way of the Holy Roman Empire that is Don Callis' Honor Guard. We can't win. We're too busy fighting each other to fight them. It's like WCW and the nWo all over again: a well-organized group with executive connections, getting the opposition to tear itself apart so they can swoop in and rearrange the pieces how they want." Corino shakes his head. "I can't take on this burden by myself. I'm no leader of men. I may have tried it a couple times in my career, but I think the evidence speaks for itself. You don’t hear stories about the magnificent reign of The Extreme Horsemen or The Group for a reason. I'm a soldier, not a general." A smile slowly spreads on Corino's shoulders. "But I know someone who is a leader. Someone who’s stared down giants and thrown a rock between their eyes. Someone who has spit in the face of overwhelming adversity and been revered, even in failure. He can be everything everybody wants me to be ... and he will be." Corino leans forward again, a fire in his eyes matching his smile. "And he'll start leading the charge ... tonight. He may not heal the wounds that stand between men like myself and Whitmer and Hero and Kingston ... but he can make all these different pieces work together anyway. It's what he knows. It's how he works. And if Ring Of Honor is to survive, he's what we need, whether anybody wants to admit it or not." Quality: Crowd: Overall: 85% 3rd segment: El Generico w/Kevin Steen vs. Conrad Kennedy III Generico seems to have a bit of favor with the crowd, stemming from his blow-up with Kevin Steen, and even moreso since he’s facing the unctuous CK3. But Generico doesn’t expect Steen to come in and blast him in the back of the head with a lariat, then hit the package piledriver. Steen flips off Generico as he’s walking away, leaving CK3 to deliver an academic finisher for a victory. *3/4 Winner: CK3 (pinfall, Chump Change) Quality: 81% Crowd: 37% Overall: 59% Notes: Conrad Kennedy III gained overness from this match. 4th segment: “I’m standing with Arik Cannon,” says Rebecca Bayless backstage in the interview area. “I understand you have something to say.” “Yeah, I--” is all Cannon gets out before Claudio Castagnoli runs up behind, knocks him down, then picks him up and power bombs him onto a nearby stack of palattes. “When are you going to give it up, Arik?” says Castagnoli. “You’re not in my league and you’re not Ring Of Honor material!” Castagnoli adds a couple stomps for good measure before walking off. Quality: Crowd: Overall: 76% 5th segment: BJ Whitmer vs. Rob Conway BJ Whitmer comes to the ring with a sense of calm and quiet to him. He wrestles a calculated, careful match, never losing his temper, even when “The A-Lister” takes control. Even when Conway acts like a jerk, slapping Whitmer and being a bastard, Whitmer keeps it together, and it pays off with a win. After the pinfall, Whitmer asks for a microphone. “Jimmy Rave … at Do Or Die, I’m not going to beat you. I’m not going to hurt you. I’m simply gonna defeat you. It’s what I have to do. This isn’t for me; this is for Ring Of Honor.” Whitmer puts down the microphone and walks off. ***3/4 Winner: Whitmer (pinfall, wrist-clutch exploder) Quality: 89% Crowd: 79% Overall: 84% 6th segment: The ring announcer begins to introduce the next match, but only gets as far as “The following tag team match is scheduled for one fall, with a—“ before being interrupted by The Elite, who stomp around the ring with their faces twisted in anger. Matt Sydal rips the microphone out of the ring announcer’s hand and threatens to backhand him, sending the announcer scurrying for safe haven. “What happened to us at A New Level was a crime!” yells Sydal. “We got screwed by a couple of two-bit shysters! They didn’t out-wrestle us! They didn’t defeat us! They tricked us! We were the longest reigning champions in two years!” “At a whopping four months,” interjects Jimmy Bauer. “And not only did they pull a fast one, then they have the gall to go and sign a defense for Do Or Die with Matt Cross and Josh Prohibition! How is that fair? We get screwed, and we don’t get to exercise our rematch clause yet? This … this … this sucks! We are elite! We are leagues better than either the Machine Guns or The Burning River Brigade! We deserve that spo—” Sydal’s rant is drowned out by the crowd popping. The Elite look towards the stage and turn sheet white as Murderdeathkill step through the curtain, Singapore canes in hand. For a handful of seconds, MDK just stand there, glaring at the only team in ROH to ever have had MDK’s number. And then they explode into a run. Sydal and Evans are frozen in fear, until MDK hit the ring and start swinging for the fences. The Elite stumble and fall and scramble out of the ring and up the ramps, escaping unscathed but afraid for their lives. Justice Pain and The Messiah pick up the microphones. “Hey, look, Pain,” says Messiah, motioning with his cane. “Ain’t that how those pussies kept the belts for so long?” “Well, when you do something good, you keep doin’ it,” says Pain, “and runnin’ like children is what they do best.” “Whining, don’t forget whining.” “Oh, yeah. They do that a lot.” “We could give ‘em something to really whine about.” Pain shrugs. “Can’t. They’ll just run again.” Messiah shakes his head in disappointment. “I forgot about that! Damn! And I was hoping to shut their mouths with my fist! They’ve only been complaining about losing the belts for, like, three minutes, and I swear it’s been the longest three minutes of my life!” “Not to mention the fact that nobody’s dominated the tag scene like us, nobody’s been on a roll like us, and we’re not getting a title shot either.” Sydal and Evans mouth off about deserving it more, until Pain snaps his fingers and his eyes go wide. “I got it! I got an idea! We want a title shot, right? And we also want to put these two dip[bleep]s in the hospital, right? But they’ll just run away if we chase ‘em! So what if we put ‘em somewhere where they can’t run?” The crowd starts making noise, anticipating where Pain’s idea is going; Sydal and Evans, however, are shaking in their boots, vigorously shaking their heads. “Something like … a steel cage!” Messiah smiles and nods. “A steel cage number-one-contender’s match at Do Or Die. I love it! Boys, what do you think?” Sydal and Evans emphatically decline the invite. “Good, then it’s settled! On February 22nd, we’ll meet you two clowns in a steel cage to see who gets the next shot. And on February 23rd …” Messiah’s expression suddenly goes from mockingly playful to cold and dangerous; “your next of kin will be planning your funeral services.” Quality: Crowd: Overall: 67% Notes: Justice Pain lost overness from this segment. Chavis & Black show off some fine tandem offense and give the champs a good run. But when The Burning River Brigade step out onto the stage, Chavis & Black’s concentration is broken, and the Guns are able to capitalize. When the champs walk up the aisle, they exchange glares with the Brigade for a few lingering seconds before passing by. The Brigade sticks around, though, as Chavis and Black grab microphones. “We’re sick of it! You should be in our rearview mirror!” yells Black. “Next week, Unleashed, we do it, and we finish it! No rules, no disqualifications, just a fight until one team is standing! And when we win, we will go on to Do Or Die and become the next ROH World Tag Team Champions!” Cross responds. “We’ve been waiting over six months for this shot, boys. We aren’t about to give it up to a couple Disco Inferno impersonators.” ***3/4 Winners: MCMGs (pinfall, Shelley on Chavis, Shellshock) Still ROH World Tag Team Champions: Motor City Machine Guns Quality: 89% Crowd: 82% Overall: 85% 8th segment: "Well, now we have --" Jimmy Bauer's voice abruptly stops as Nigel McGuinness comes out with a bit of a limp, looking very angry. "Do you see this, Jimmy Bauer? Do you, Colt?" he demands, gesturing to his leg. "Nigel, we have a show to --" "I couldn't care a whit for whatever you have to prattle on about! This, this, is what people care about! Steve Corino is a miserable piece of garbage! He stuck his nose in my title shot at A New Level and deliberately cost me the Ring Of Honor World Title, a title I had in my grasp! I have two wait two months for another title shot! I should be a week into my title reign, not two months away from beginning it! And then, that pathetic cretin, that, that outsider filth ... he hits me in the ankle with his cane and injures me!” "Well, you injured him with a chair--" McGuinness grabs Bauer by the lapels and hauls him up. "Listen, sunshine, and listen very closely: Steve Corino is a dead man. Mr. Callis has already taken the liberty of assigned a most fitting stipulation to mine and Corino's match at Do Or Die: a Last Man Standing match. But the plain and simple truth of it is, Jimmy, that Corino won't make it Do Or Die. I heard his little speech earlier, and I don't care what kind of muscle-bound dunderhead he brings in as back-up. When I corner Steve Corino--and mark my words, that will happen before Do Or Die--I will see to it that the King Of Old School's empire follows him into his tomb!" McGuinness violently releases Bauer, sending him stumbling over his chair into Cabana. "Nobody steals away my birthright!" McGuinness yells. "I will have that title, and I will paint it in Steve Corino's blood, or so help me God, I will burn this place to cinders!" McGuinness yells out in frustration, then turns and hobbles away, pushing cameraman down to the ground on his way by. Quality: Crowd: Overall: 77% Notes: Nigel McGuinness lost overness from this segment. 9th segment: Bryan Danielson & Homicide vs. Shawn Michaels & Ruckus Homicide and Ruckus don’t wait for the bell to ring before they start tearing at each other, brawling up the aisle, into the crowd and all over the arena. Meanwhile, in the ring, Danielson and Michaels have a stand-off that seemed to last forever, driving the crowd into a frenzy. Danielson breaks the moment finally by going for a punch, but Michaels ducks and unleashes with chops across the chest, backing Danielson up into a corner. Their match builds off their encounter at A New Level, with each man knowing what to avoid, so they have to counter each other’s counters. Meanwhile, Homicide and Ruckus continue to brawl all over the arena, using everything they can get their hands on to do some damage. Finally, Ruckus ends up back in the ring, having nailed the Hate Crime on Homicide in the audience. Michaels tags out to Ruckus, and the old rivalry is renewed, with Ruckus’ game that much better since the last time they met. But Danielson soon adapts, and it’s back and forth until Homicide comes back; he grabs Michaels, pulls him off the apron and throws him into the steps. Homicide uses Ruckus not knowing he’s come back to his advantage, hitting Ruckus in the back of the head with an elbow strike from the apron. Danielson tags out, and the Cop Killa ends it. Homicide pulls out a pair of forks and tosses one to Danielson, then leaps on Ruckus … but Danielson doesn’t catch his, and instead pulls Homicide off Ruckus. Homicide gets in Danielson’s face, but Danielson doesn’t flinch. After Homicide’s rant ends, Danielson looks Homicide in the eye and says: “Do you wanna be better, or just bitter?” When Homicide looks confused, Danielson snatches the fork out of Homicide’s hand and throws it away. “If you don’t beat him like a man, you’re still his bitch!” says Danielson and walks off. ***1/2 Winners: Danielson & Homicide (pinfall, Homicide on Ruckus, Cop Killa) Quality: 87% Crowd: 81% Overall: 84% 10th segment: Austin Aries vs. Joey Ryan Ryan’s self-assured demeanor is all but gone when he steps in the ring; instead, he looks steeled, poised, ready for battle. And from the ringing of the bell, it’s a war. Aries is especially abusive and violent, but Ryan never gives up, and gives plenty back to Aries. It’s a very tight contest, with Ryan showing once again why his career is only headed upwards, until Aries counters Ryan’s Mustache Ride and hits a cross-legged brainbuster. But instead of going for the pin, Aries slides out, reaches under the ring apron. Bauer and Cabana try to guess what he’s looking for, until he pulls it out and the air is sucked out of the room: a pizza cutter. Aries gets back in the ring, stands above Ryan and is about to kneel down on his shoulders when the ref tries to stop him. Aries shoves the ref, drawing a disqualification, but Aries keeps going, sitting down with his knees on Ryan’s arms. He says; “You’re a poor substitute for Roderick, and you made a poor choice in calling him a friend. May you find the grace of intelligence in your next life.” But before Aries can carve up Ryan, Strong runs down and tackles Aries. The two fight over the pizza cutter, until Strong is able to run it an inch or two along Aries’ face. Aries doesn’t even seem fazed as his skin opens up and blood starts pouring down. By then, cops show up and pull the two apart; Strong fights and looks like a rabid dog, while Aries calmly walks away, ignoring the blood dripping from his cheek. **** Winner: Ryan (disqualification) Quality: 91% Crowd: 87% Overall: 89% 11th segment: Eddie Kingston & Chris Hero vs. Adam Pearce & Jimmy Jacobs As the teams are introduced, Jimmy Bauer says; “Folks, I’ve just received word that Adam Pearce and Chris Hero will be involved in a match with one another at Do Or Die … but it won’t be one-on-one, and the stipulations won’t be announced until next week.” From the get-go, neither team show much teamwork; Hero and Kingston will barely look at one another, while working together for mutual benefit seems last on the list of things to do for Jacobs and Pearce after Jacobs proving too independent to work with The Honor Guard. Surprisingly, Kingston and Hero show more teamwork, if only because of shared enemies. For about ten minutes, the match is pretty back-and-forth, with neither team showing a lot of dominance at any time. The crowd suddenly turns at the sight of Don Callis stomping down to ringside, poised like a cobra ready to strike in his team’s corner. As Jimmy Bauer curses Callis and how Ring Of Honor is powerless to do anything to stop him because of the power he wields, Callis, seeing Pearce in trouble, slides a set of knucks into the ring behind the ref’s back. Pearce grabs them and pops Hero in the jaw, dimming the lights of the former champ. Pearce recovers, gets to his feet and ever so slowly goes for a figure-four. With Hero out cold, and Jacobs intercepting Kingston, the ending is all but a formality. Still, Callis turns to signal the timekeeper to ring the bell – And his hand is caught by someone in the audience. Callis turns to look at the offender and is ready to have them thrown out by security, but his eyes flare open like spotlights. “That must be the back-up Steve Corino was talking about! But who is it?” exclaims Jimmy Bauer. The person lets go and, as Callis backs up looking like he’s seen a ghost, the person climbs over the barricade. The cameras finally catch sight of him, and his face goes up on the JumboTron, and the pop is so huge, it threatens to engulf the play-by-play even on television. “It’s PAUL HEYMAN!!! Paul Heyman is here in Ring Of Honor!” Heyman’s eyes are nothing short of murderous as he glares at Callis. The architect of The Honor Guard is so shocked and horrified that he starts blubbering and asking for mercy as he backs away from the former ECW patriarch. Meanwhile, the distraction outside the ring is enough to derail Jacobs and Pearce. Hero gathers himself, grabs Jacobs from behind and hits the Hero’s Welcome for the pin. Pearce finally notices the match again, but Kingston stops Pearce from taking action against Hero, and Pearce heads for the hills. Callis follows shortly thereafter, leaving Heyman standing at the base of the ramp, staring up at the stage with eyes filled with hatred. ****1/4 Winners: Hero & Kingston (pinfall, Hero on Jacobs, Hero’s Welcome) Quality: 95% Crowd: 84% Overall: 89% Overall show rating: 79% Thursday, February 5, 2009: Email:1) Christian Cage -- I'd like to work with Edge if possible. Preview for Throwdown, February 9, 2009:*The card for Do Or Die has been updated! Scroll down the latest changes!* - Charles Taylor Esq. continues to lengthen Michael Quackenbush Spillane's Bold Future reign by acting as his proxy. But tonight, The Industrial Revolution will find its monopoly on the belt challenged in the most difficult of circumstances yet: TJ Wilson, Scott Lost and Jay Lethal will all contend for the belt in a four-corners elimination match! - Austin Aries tried to mangle Joey Ryan on Unleashed with a pizza cutter, all because Roderick Strong gave Ryan his blessing at A New Level. Tonight, Strong and Ryan will team up to take on Aries and a partner of his choosing. - The battle lines have been drawn: Nigel McGuinness and Steve Corino will square off in a Last Man Standing match. And how appropriate, now that both men are hobbled with bad ankles. But Network Representative Don Callis has insisted that Corino can't cost the company any more money by taking time off to heal. So tonight, he'll partner up with Paul Burchill, taking on McGuinness and Edge. Burchill and Edge have been going at it tooth and nail for months now, and not only has Edge escaped without retribution, but he has yet to be pinned or submitted in Ring Of Honor. Can Edge and McGuinness co-exist? Can McGuinness and Corino put up the fight they want to? - Chris Hero and Adam Pearce are on a collision course for Do Or Die ... but we don't know what kind of match. That makes Throwdown all the more interesting, because tonight, you'll see them go one-on-one. Normally, PPV opponents don't give away their match on free TV, so something must be up here. - Eddie Kingston and Jimmy Jacobs will both be at Throwdown. Their "I Quit" showdown is only a few weeks away. You have to know both men want to get an early advantage, so expect a clash here! - Bryan Danielson has been a hard man to get a handle on in recent months, and his actions on Unleashed didn't make it any easier. Shawn Michaels has asked Danielson to meet him in the ring for a "dialogue". What could be on Shawn Michaels' mind? Will Danielson accept the invite? - Unleashed ended with a mind-blowing surprise: Steve Corino's "secret weapon" wasn't a physical brute or a ring tactician or an aerial specialist ... it was Paul Heyman. The look on Don Callis' face as Unleashed went off the air was the very definition of terror. On Throwdown, one of professional wrestling's most controversial, unpredictable, and brilliant personalities will be there, with a live mic. You may want to send the kids out of the room when Heyman starts speaking. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love Undercard Cage matches. I really do. Go MDK! The Heyman intro was tremendous. Im looking forward to seeing you write promos for him. And, Boyer! Maybe he'll rise up faster for you than he has for me. Well, unless you have to cut him.

Results for Throwdown: “There are a number of questions coming into Throwdown, tonight on The CW Network, and we hope to get answers tonight! Good evening everyone, welcome to Throwdown live on CW, I’m Steven Manning alongside my partner Taz. Who will Austin Aries partner find to stand beside him? Can Edge and Nigel McGuinness share a side of the ring together? What does Shawn Michaels have to say to Bryan Danielson? What will Paul Heyman have to say? These are questions we hope to have answered tonight.” “You forgot one, Steven,” says Taz, pointing up above the ring. “Why’s there a steel cage hanging above the ring when there ain’t a steel cage match tonight?” “A question as good as the others. And we’ll get answers as we go along. Let’s kick it to the ring for our opening bout!” 1st segment: Roderick Strong & Joey Ryan vs. Austin Aries & ? Strong and Ryan stand in the ring, while Aries stands at the bottom of the ramp, awaiting the arrival of Aries’ mystery partner. But even Aries looks surprised when the music cues up, starting with the horrified screams of a woman. “Taz … that’s Jimmy Jacobs’ music! Jacobs and Aries, on the same side?” Jacobs strolls down and stops in front of Aries, whose only movement is to cock his head a bit to the side. “Austin … you and I, we’ve had our issues in the past,” says Jacobs. [“The understatement of the century,” says Taz.] “What we did to each other created scars that will never heal. But there is something you know for sure, Austin, something you can count on: me. You know who I am, and you know where I stand. I’ve hated Roderick even longer than you. You may not have any friends anymore … but you know I have no reason to turn on you now. Tonight, you can count on me.” Aries shows neither agreement or disagreement; he simply turns and slides in the ring. Jacobs hops up on the apron, and the ref signals for the bell. And for fifteen minutes, the action is fierce, as Ryan and Strong have to work double-time to fight against the double depravity of Aries and Jacobs. In the closing minutes, the match breaks down, and Ryan and Jacobs are fighting outside, while Aries and Strong are trading reversals inside. Strong goes for the Gibson Driver, but Aries thrusts his head upwards into Strong’s groin, then nails the cross-legged brainbuster for the win. As Aries stands over his fallen former friend, Eddie Kingston runs out as Jacobs has Ryan up against a steel post. Kingston throws Jacobs into the steel steps head-first, screaming the whole time about wanting his championship belt back. Ryan collects himself and goes in the ring to help Strong, but Aries just backs off, keeping his eyes on Strong. Authorities have to come down to pull Kingston off Jacobs, as he rams Jacobs’ head into the steps over and over until he is dragged away. **** Winners: Jacobs & Aries (pinfall, Aries on Strong, cross-legged brainbuster) Quality: 92% Crowd: 84% Overall: 88% 2nd segment: Shawn Michaels’ music ushers out The Heartbreak Kid to the ring. “Bryan, could you come down right now?” Europe starts pumping out and Bryan Danielson does come out. But as soon as he’s in the ring, he takes the microphone from Michaels’ hand. “Shawn, I’m done. I’m tired of your man-of-nobility act, your mission to show me the light, all of it. I don’t want to be saved, and there’s nothing I need to be saved from. I don’t care what you think about how I do things. I don’t want your help, and I don’t need your preachy BS ‘lessons’.” Danielson points up to the ROH banners hanging above the Jumbotron. “See that? That says you’re not in Stamford anymore, Shawn. This is Ring Of Honor. Where you came from, there may be a need for the top dog to a public speaker like JFK, but that’s not Ring Of Honor works. We’ve had champions that couldn’t put two sentences together if they were the only words on the paper … but they were champions. They got their shots with action, not words. You’re not gonna get over here by killing fifteen minutes of show time with speeches. You’re not gonna impress people here by standing around, chopping at your gut and having a kielbasa hanging out of your zipper. One thing, and one thing alone, separates the wheat from the chaff here: wrestling. So whatever you wanted to ‘discuss’, stuff it. I don’t want to hear it, and neither does anybody else here. You wanna earn my respect? This is my version of Rome, so do as we Romans do: stop talking, and get it done.” Michaels regards Danielson for a few seconds, nods and says “Okay” off-mic. And then, as quick as a bolt of lightning, Michaels kicks Danielson’s head into the cheap seats. Michaels stands above Danielson and says; “As you wish, Bryan.” Michaels drops the microphone and leaves the ring, looking back once to say that he’ll see Danielson on Wednesday. Quality: Crowd: Overall: 74% 3rd segment: Chris Hero vs. Adam Pearce Much of the five minutes that Hero and Pearce tangle is spent with Pearce acting like a total coward, running and picking his shots while Hero chases him and, for the most part, dominates. Hero finally manages to keep Pearce in one place long enough to wear him down in preparation for a pin attempt. Pearce begs on his hands and knees for mercy, but Hero slowly stalks him. Hero doesn’t see Matt Sydal, Jack Evans and Jay Lethal coming down the aisle. They stop at the end of the ramp, looking at the ring, waiting. Manning and Taz are, at first, angry at the interference, but are confused as to why Sydal, Evans and Lethal aren’t taking any action. It becomes apparent when the cage starts lowering. Hero sees it in his peripheral, looks at it to be sure, then looks back at Pearce, whose face has gone from cowering to confident. Pearce yells out “Now!”, and Sydal, Evans and Lethal slide in just in time for the cage to finish lowering. Lethal pulls a chain and padlock out of his tights and locks the door shut, while Sydal, Evans and Pearce gang up on Hero. It isn’t long before Hero is limp and covered in his own blood; as Lethal and The Elite take turns hitting Hero, Pearce demands a microphone. “Chris, I didn’t spend months under your thumb for nothing,” says Pearce. “I aligned with you for reconnaissance. I had to learn about you, to prepare for the rise of The Honor Guard. Men like Whitmer, Corino, Kingston, they’re easy to figure out. But I have to give the devil his due when I say you may be the smartest foe I’ve ever encountered. Not smart enough to see Final Battle coming, but smart enough to be a real threat. So I worked aside you, learned about how you ticked … and where your blind spots are.” Pearce pauses, letting Sydal and Evans launch Hero into the cage wall like a dart. “Your biggest blind spots? You get tunnel vision, and you can’t work with anybody. In fact … boys, turn Chris around …” They do so, just in time to see Justice Pain and The Messiah coming down the ramp, but impotent to do anything. “Do you think they’re here for you? No, they want Matt and Jack. Nobody’s coming for you, Chris. And to that extent, I have a little announcement to make. MDK, you’ll want to pay attention, because this concerns you as well. You see, Mr. Callis has discussed the pay-per-view with the upper management, and he has … convinced them, if you will … to cancel our match and the steel cage match between The Elite and you two thugs,” says Pearce, looking at MDK as he calls them names. “That is because Matt, Jack, Jay and myself—along with one other man from our world-class roster of athletes—will be involved in a Steel Cage Warfare match, against …” Pearce points at Hero. “ You. So sorry, MDK, to deny you what isn’t rightfully yours anyway. Chris … best of luck finding anyone to stand beside you. We look forward to the following night, the first night in three years that Ring Of Honor won’t be stained with your pres—“ Pearce stops talking when the cage suddenly shakes, then starts to rise. “What? Who’s doing that? Stop it!” But it continues, and as soon as its enough for someone to fit through, MDK slide in and start swinging their canes. Sydal and Evans manage to get away unscathed, but Pearce and Lethal eat a few shots before getting out of dodge. As The Honor Guard back up the ramp, Pain grabs the microphone dropped by Pearce. “If you think you’re getting out of facing us with this shell game, boys, think again.” Pain turns to Hero, who has pulled himself to his feet in the corner. “Chris … we’re in.” Sydal and Evans flip out on Pearce about their failed plan, complaining like toddlers while Pearce nurses the lump on his head. *** Winner: Hero (disqualification) Quality: 81% Crowd: 86% Overall: 84% 4th segment: The five-second countdown on the Jumbotron is the harbinger of Christian Cage. “The Instant Classic” gets in the ring and asks for a microphone. “I’ve only been in this company a week or two, but I gotta say, this place is a nuthouse! Orlando’s full of some weapons-grade bull[bleep], but man! Not that I ain’t grateful to be here, because this is the #1 wrestling promotion in all the land!” The audience falls for the cheap pop cue. “I just wonder … I mean, I was brought in to keep Edge in line, but right now, Edge has his hands full with Paul Burchill. So … until I can get my hands on him, I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. Austin Aries looks like a fun guy to talk to!” That gets a laugh. “Jimmy Jacobs, real class act. And The Honor Guard … yeesh, talk about--” “Why don’t you talk about us?” says a voice, and the owner, William Hunter Johnston, steps through the curtains. “Yes. Talk. You’re doing wonders for the ratings. No wonder the WWE and TNA fought so hard to keep you. Oh, wait, they didn’t! Our management signed their table scraps! You don’t belong here, Cage. You don’t, your ‘brother’ doesn’t, Burchill doesn’t, Michaels doesn’t … it’s like watching Michael Jordan play baseball, or Paris Hilton trying to act without a [bleep] in her mouth. So right here, right now, I’d like to end this second try of the experiment of Christian Cage in Ring Of Honor. Only I’d like it to be even shorter than last time. Because that’s how I roll!” With that, Johnston runs down the ramp and slides in the ring, and he and Cage start going at it. A ref runs in and makes the fight officially a match. But it doesn’t last long, as Johnston’s volatile temper gets the better of him, and Cage is able to dim Johnston’s lights. But no sooner does the bell ring than Brian Kendrick and Jimmy Rave show up. Together, the three do a number on Cage and leave him on the mat. Johnston warns Cage there’s more where that came from if Cage doesn’t do like he did with WWE and TNA. ***3/4 Winner: Cage (pinfall, Unprettier) Quality: 90% Crowd: 84% Overall: 87% 5th segment: Paul Burchill & Steve Corino vs. Edge & Nigel McGuinness Edge refuses to partner with McGuinness, which suits McGuinness just fine, even if that leaves him in a glorified handicap match. Corino and Burchill target McGuinness’ ankle and work it over good, but McGuinness refuses to tap to any of the submissions they apply. In the closing moments, Corino, despite his game leg, has McGuinness worked over well, and locks in an ankle submission in the middle of the ring. Edge sneaks back down to ringside with a fire extinguisher, catches Burchill’s attention and gives Burchill a face full of fire retardant chemicals. Burchill falls down to the arena floor, trying to clear his eyes, when Edge blasts him with the extinguisher itself. Corino releases the hold to check on Burchill, which drives Edge back to the back again. Corino calls for a medic, and has to be reminded that he still has a match going, rolling in at the last possible millisecond. The down time gives McGuinness enough energy to make a very ugly, but very effective diving lariat that renders Corino unconscious. ***3/4 Winners: McGuinness & Edge (pinfall, McGuinness on Corino, lariat) Quality: 83% Crowd: 88% Overall: 86% 6th segment: The ECW theme hits the PA, and the crowd goes nuts as the one and only Paul Heyman comes out. The crowd chants “E-C-Dub” as Heyman walks down the ramp, and for another full minute after Heyman is in the ring. Finally, Heyman gets the crowd to calm down and begins to speak. “it’s funny … just about every time I get a live mic in the last few years, I end up making trouble for the promotion I’m in. There was that promo at One Night Stand … the rant with Vince before Survivor Series 2001 that got me taken off the air for 5 months … there was that comment about seeing Bush on my first night in the WWE in 2001 … and my rant against TNN back on my old ECW show.” Heyman chuckles. “So, fair warning; you may come to regret giving me this platform. But the fact is, now, you’re stuck with me! So let’s clear the air before we get down to business.” Heyman clears his throat, then points down at the ring mat beneath his feet. “I was ready to walk away from wrestling when Crockett took over WWE last fall. The day he took over, I turned in my notice with 13 other members of WWE’s talent pool–good guys like John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Undertaker, Rock—because we saw the writing on the wall. I never shoulda been there in the first place, but I needed to keep the lights on, you know? But since ECW went under, the fire I had inside that burned for this business had flickered away to a spark. The BS I had to deal with in Stamford … it just went to show me that everything I loved about wrestling was dying. You know how we used to rip on WCW for being this big, fake, soulless corporate extension? How they didn’t understand the business the same way that the territories did, or ECW, or New Japan, or AAA? That’s all there is now. Every company’s got their eyes on TV and pay-per-view. Every company … except this one right here!” The crowd applauds, but Heyman pushes on. “This company was started a guy I took under my wing. Gabe took the spirit of ECW, the grassroots, cult-of-family that made ECW what it was, and he kept the flame that was consumed me burning bright. I stayed with WWE for years, hoping that someday they’d see what you guys were doing down here and realize this was the wave of the future … and I almost had it with the Smackdown Six … but she put a stop to it. The Smackdown Six was the last time I felt any passion for this business. When I walked out of Stamford last Thanksgiving, I was prepared to start a whole new chapter in my life.” Heyman’s face darkens. “Until Steve Corino called me out of the blue, and said something I’ll never forget. ‘Paul’, he said, ‘Callis is here in ROH. He’s the network rep, and he’s trying to take over the promotion.’” Heyman shakes his head. “A lot of people say a lot of things about why ECW folded. Did I suck at payroll? Sure. Did I take on too much responsibility? Yeah, I did. I made a lot of mistakes, there’s no denying it. You don’t close the doors on a wrestling promotion when you sell out every show by doing things right. But whatever you heard, whatever rumors you think you know as fact, or the crap from that God-awful DVD the WWE made a few years back—because that was one big McMahon-endorsed whitewash from start to finish—it’s not the whole story. Because we coulda made it … if it weren’t for Callis and the network, cutting us off at the knees every step of the way! TNN didn’t understand us, so they dumped us in a hole, and along came Callis to bury us alive! As God as my witness, nobody is more responsible for the murder of ECW than Don Callis! Every day of my life since Guilty As Charged 2001, I’ve sat on this rage inside me, and I was powerless to do anything about it. Now, I have my opportunity. This, this here, Ring Of Honor … if ECW was my baby, Ring Of Honor is my grandchild. The work I did in ECW laid the groundwork for Ring Of Honor, and I’ll be damned if he bulldozes over another company! I will bring this company together, one man at a time if I have to, and once and for all, I will crush Don Callis beneath my bootheel! I--” Callis comes through the curtain like a storm. “That’s enough from you! Heyman, you haven’t changed a bit! You believe only what fits into your frame of reference. Who was it that tanked his career in WCW with his loud mouth? Who was it that got bounced from Smackdown and ECW because he couldn’t work within the system? Who was it that bouncing checks long before he signed a deal with TNN?” Callis screws up his face in a devilish sneer. “Who was it that drove Eddie Gilbert out of Philly and back to Puerto Rico and started him on a path to an overdose? Your career is a chain of failures, Heyman, and the only person to blame is yourself! You’re a curse to you and everyone around you!” “You know what? Maybe you’re right. Maybe my career is one misstep after another. Maybe I’m my own worst enemy. But you only learn through failure. You fall, you get back up and say to yourself you won’t fall again. That’s what I’m here for now. I’m picking myself up, and I’m righting my wrongs. And I’m here to right my greatest wrong. I let you and TNN walk all over me, and you killed the thing which meant more to me than anything else. You put a lot of people on the unemployment line, and you killed my dreams. I won’t let that happen again. There must be a line in the sand, and if nobody else will, I’ll draw it.” Callis grins. “Is that so? Paul Heyman’s the mad scientist of wrestling is suddenly also a white knight. Took a band of misfits and led them to the promised land back in the day. Well, tell me, Paul, when was the last time you checked on your ECW children? How’s Raven? He’s got thyroid problems, looks like he ate Dusty Rhodes, and can’t get a booking to save his soul. Sabu? Kidney failure, and has to jump through tables to keep up the payment on his double-wide. How’s Sandman? Oh, right, he’s a functioning alcoholic building houses in Philly. New Jack? 911? Mikey Whipwreck? Brian Lee? I won’t even bring up how many people aren’t even walking the Earth anymore that went through your doors because you turned a blind eye to illegal narcotics. The point is, Paul, we’re in a very different world. You’re not playing with the toys nobody else wants. Wrestlers dream of working here. We aren’t the training ground or the cast-off bin like ECW was. Ring Of Honor is a destination. Guys like The Pitbulls and Sandman and New Jack, they worked in ECW because they couldn’t work anywhere else. They were garbage. Men like Steve Corino and Eddie Kingston and Chris Hero and Murderdeathkill, they may be outsider scum, but they are not to be taken lightly, and they certainly aren’t major league rejects. And that means they have no reason to ally with one another. Nobody’s gonna line up to drink your ‘us against the world’ Kool-aid here, Heyman. They can’t even conceive of ‘us’, and they’re already in the big leagues. You were handed an army with ECW, as bad an army as it was. Here, you have to build one, and you’ve shown time and again over the course of your career, you are incapable of true leadership. Everybody either abandons you when they get a clue, or you lead them to catastrophic failure. So, knowing your success ratio, how do you expect to bring together men who’d rather tear one another apart than fight towarda a common goal?” Heyman looks non-plussed. “Taz and Sabu hated each other. Raven offended half the locker room. New Jack was the most disagreeable person I’ve ever met. And we succeeded for eight years, because we had something in common. And when Eddie Kingston and Steve Corino and Ruckus and Paul Burchill and Joey Ryan realize what they have in common, they will unite under this banner. Heaven help you when that day comes, Callis.” “The day any one of those outsider vermin crosses your ‘line in the sand’ is the day I—“ The noise of the crowd suddenly spikes, and Callis’ attention is drawn to his right. Standing next to him is BJ Whitmer. Whitmer turns and looks at Callis with cold, dead eyes; Callis shrinks back as if Whitmer has cocked back his fist. Instead, Whitmer walks down the ramp, enters the ring and approaches Heyman. “I have one question for you, Mr. Heyman,” asks Whitmer. “Is this about getting revenge, or doing what’s right?” “I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a score to settle with Don Callis,” replies Heyman. “But it just so happens that settling up accounts coincides with what’s right. It just so happens to be one of those situations where everything falls into place.” “That’s all I needed to hear,” answers Whitmer and extends a hand. A smile spreads on Heyman’s face as he and Whitmer shake hands, and Callis’ face twists in rage. Heyman looks right at Callis, holds up two fingers and mouths “that’s two”. Whitmer looks right at Callis, draws an imaginary line in front of him, steps back and gestures for Callis to step over. Throwdown ends with Steven Manning and Taz going nuts about Whitmer and Corino on the same side, and if Heyman can convince more to join his crusade … and, based off the pure fury on Callis’ face, what the Honor Guard response will be. Great show. I really liked the ending. I could actually picture Heyman and Callis going at it verbatim as I read. I like where this is going.

I saw that Heyman was coming out and im like 'in the middle of the show?', then I got to the end and remembered that the market is in the shits.
But yea, good ending. Im disappointed that the MDK/Elite Cage match is off, but at least its being replaced by what will undoubtedly be entertaining. Very good usage of the 'but whys a steel cage looming over the ring?!' bit, too.

Preview for Unleashed, February 11, 2009:*The card for Do Or Die has been updated! Please scroll down for the latest changes!*- ROH Bold Future Champion Michael Quackenbush Spillane is approaching the two-month mark on his title reign, thanks in large part to Charles Taylor Esq. doing all the work. That won’t change tonight, as MQS is booked to take on Roderick Strong, while Taylor is “booked” to “defend” the Bold Future Championship against not one, not two but three opponents in a four-way elimination match! Scott Lost, Shelton Benjamin and Kevin Steen are all looking to get their hands on ROH gold. Will MQS see his title run go up in smoke while he sits on the sidelines? - Three teams will collide in a triangle match on Unleashed. The CHIKArmy are on the bottom of the ranks looking up and are hungry. La Raza are just on the outskirts of title contention and want into the party. Murderdeathkill are perennial contenders. One team will win here and help their case for title shot considerations. Which will it be? - Tyler Black & Kory Chavis have been looking to make a name at The Burning River Brigade’s expense for months. The Burning River Brigade have a title shot against the Motor City Machine Guns at Do Or Die, and they want the albatross of Black & Chavis off their necks. To put the war behind them, they’ve put up their title shot in a no-disqualifications match so they can get Black & Chavis in the ring one final time. Will they the BRB score some momentum moving closer to Do Or Die, or will their plan backfire? - Claudio Castagnoli and Arik Cannon have been circling one another for weeks. Both want to bring their blood feud to an end. Tonight, they'll meet one-on-one, but not to settle their score ... the winner here will get to determine the stipulations of their final match. - Christian Cage came onto the radar of The Honor Guard on Monday. Tonight, he’ll take on one of their most members, Bryan Danielson. The American Dragon had a rough night on Monday; after telling off Shawn Michaels for being all talk, Michaels took decisive action by kicking Danielson in the face and promising to “see [him] Wednesday”. Will Michaels get involved in the match? Will Danielson see Cage as a stand-in? Is this a trap for Cage, a high-profile signing by management that rubbed Don Callis the wrong way? - Paul Burchill and Edge have been warring since late November. The night before A New Level, Edge pulled out a rabbit out of his hat with his victory over Burchill in a match experts called a free TV MOTYC. On Unleashed, they’ll do it again. You don’t want to miss this! - Our main event is a tag team match featuring a team nobody ever expected to see. On one side will be The Elite, who are slated for Steel Cage Warfare at Do Or Die. On the other side … the improbable duo of Steve Corino and BJ Whitmer, brought together by Paul Heyman. Will they be able to co-exist and get the job done, or is Heyman’s army destined for collapse? What of Nigel McGuinness? He’s out for blood with Corino, and he’s scheduled to be at Unleashed. Plus: ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston, Homicide, Joey Ryan, Jay Lethal, ROH Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns, Maxime Boyer, Brent Albright, The Last Hard Men, and Jimmy Jacobs! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wednesday, February 11, 2009: Email:none News: Ring Of Honor has come to terms on the release of El Generico. We wish him much success in his continued career. Results for Unleashed: 1st segment, ROH Bold Future Championship match: Charles Taylor Esq. (proxy defender) vs. Scott Lost vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Kevin Steen, four-corners elimination match First elimination: After everyone gets in a few spots, Steen manages to sneak in a handful of tights on a roll-up against Lost and scores the first elimination. Second elimination: Benjamin gets beat on by both Steen and Taylor, and it looks bad for Benjamin. But Benjamin makes the comeback on a reversed package piledriver attempt, and gets the pin on Steen. Final elimination: From a technical standpoint, it’s a fantastic match. But for MQS and JBL, Taylor spends too much time on defense, so they pull some shenanigans, and a JBL Clothesline From Hell puts Benjamin on the mat for three. Taylor gets a stern lecture about nearly blowing MQS’ reign, with less than a month to go before hitting the three-month mark. **1/2 Winner: Taylor (pinfall, JBL-ference) Still ROH Bold Future Champion: Michael Quackenbush Spillane Quality: 80% Crowd: 68% Overall: 74% 2nd segment: Homicide w/Don Callis vs. Maxime Boyer Callis joins the commentary team to expound on Homicide, and how he’s about to prove he can easily adapt to an MMA-based fighting style. Boyer, however, doesn’t seem to get the memo, and tries to actually wrestle, frustrating Homicide. But Homicide is able to overpower Boyer with direct strikes, and in the blink of an eye, Homicide draws a tap-out on an ankle lock. But when the bell rings, Homicide keeps up the beating, as Callis gets on the microphone and says Homicide will continue to tear apart the competition and prove MMA is an art anyone can master … … but Homicide and Callis shut up right quick when Ruckus comes bursting out of the back, sending the duo running for safe haven. ***1/2 Winner: Homicide (submission, ankle lock) Quality: 92% Crowd: 60% Overall: 76% 3rd segment: Joey Ryan, Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin vs. Jay Lethal, Jimmy Rave & Brian Kendrick w/Don Callis Making their rejection almost universal, Ryan doesn’t hide his distaste in partnering with the ROH World Tag Team Champions, with tags that are barely more than slaps, and glares that would stop a clock. The Honor Guard try to use this as a way to divide and conquer, but between Johnston’s unfocused volatility (yelling at the crowd and at his opponents) and Rave trying too hard to prove he’s ready for Do Or Die, The Honor Guard end up falling victim to hubris. While Ryan and Johnston fight on the outside, Shelley and Sabin take care of business inside and get the win. After The Honor Guard finally retreat, Ryan grabs a microphone, checking his lip for blood before speaking. “You think you’re some kind of modern-day Brian Pillman?” says Ryan, pointing at Johnston. “Well, I hope you’re gonna be in Steel Cage Warfare on the 22nd, because I’ll be there … and if you are, well, I’m gonna do my best impression of Sid Vicious and try to break your neck!” **3/4 Winners: Ryan, Shelley and Sabin (pinfall, Sabin on Rave, Cradle Shock) Quality: 81% Crowd: 76% Overall: 78% 4th segment: Michael Quackenbush Spillane vs. Roderick Strong For the second time in a few weeks, Strong and the ROH Bold Future Champion square off in a non-title match. And while MQS shows he’s learned some of Strong’s tendencies and tricks from their first match, Strong shows he is full of surprises, keeping MQS off-balance and on the receiving end of a punishment barrage. But MQS’ schooling doesn’t last long, as Austin Aries plainly and matter-of-factly comes down, gets in the ring and goes after Strong, drawing the DQ. MQS gets angry and tries to get involved when the ref announces Strong’s DQ victory, but Aries nearly sends MQS’ head into the cheap seats with a sick right hand to the jaw. Strong takes the opportunity to jump on Aries, but ducks a clothesline and clotheslines Strong in the back of the head. Strong barely hits the mat before Aries grabs him by the leg, drags him to the ropes and hangs him by his ankle over the arena floor. Aries searches under the ring apron until he pulls out a sledgehammer. Before he can connect with Strong’s ribcage in a homerun-style swing, the ringside area is flooded with a human blockade made of security, road agents, upper management and ROH training school students. Aries walks around the ring, and looks to be heading up the ramp … … but suddenly, he slides in the ring, runs across it to the other side and manages to jab Strong in the breadbasket once before anybody can stop him. The authorities grab Aries and drag him away, an act which Aries neither helps nor hinders. Finally, the road agents and a few students get Strong free, but by then, he is coughing up blood. ***1/2 Winner: Strong (disqualification) Quality: 88% Crowd: 78% Overall: 83% 5th segment: Murderdeathkill vs. La Raza vs. The CHIKArmy, triangle match The CHIKArmy show some improvements in their teamwork, but it’s nothing compared to their opponents, who work like well-oiled machines. In the end, Chavo Guerrero and Rey Mysterio use speed and cunning to steal the pin from MDK, who get distracted by Adam Pearce. When Pearce is run off, MDK come back to the ring as La Raza are celebrating and get nose to nose with Guerrero and Mysterio. Not a word is uttered, nor a gesture displayed, but the eyes say it all: a straight meeting is needed to see who is the better team. **3/4 Winners: La Raza (pinfall, Guerrero on Hallowicked, El Chupacabra) Quality: 81% Crowd: 77% Overall: 79% 6th segment: “Do Or Die is just a few weeks away, folks, live on pay-per—“ The audience pops as Eddie Kingston comes out unexpectedly, snatching a microphone from ringside before jumping between the ropes. “What’s wrong with this picture?” Kingston says, looking down at his waist. “It’s been two weeks, and I still ain’t got my belt!” Kingston gets up close to the nearest camera, speaking methodically. “Jimmy, listen close: I’m the champ, you’re not. It’s my belt. Believe me, I can find some way to hurt you to make you give it back, Jimmy. Just cause you sit in the back and cut your arms cause Daddy didn’t come to your little league game don’t mean you got stones. I’ll find the weakness, and I’ll hit it and hit it and hit it, until you gimme what you took.” Kingston turns to leave, but catches sight of movement on the stage: Brent Albright, coming through the curtain. “You wanna talk about something being taken? How about a career? How about your clarity?” Albright says. “I was working my way up the ladder here. I’d taken on Takeshi Morishima for the ROH World Champion. Where did that go? It got flushed down the toilet, and the new management said ‘you gotta work your way up, kid, we’re pushing BJ and Corino instead’. I numbed the heartache with whiskey, and I shook hands with the fans, because that’s how guys like Colt were getting ahead, and what did it get me? Midcard exile! I’m better than that. I’m ROH World Champion material waiting to be discovered. And now that I’m clean and sober and I can see what a chump I was, I know what I gotta do now: I gotta make my opportunities. And that starts right here, right now, with you.” Kingston is absolutely stunned. “Wait … you just spent a few months in rehab, you come out all mad at the world, and you think you’re just walkin’ in here, gettin’ a title shot?” Kingston starts chuckling, and it rolls into full-blown laughter. “Fine then, I’ll earn it. If I can beat you non-title, I can beat you when it’s on the line.” Kingston’s laughter melts away. “You know, slick, maybe what I need’s a workout. Get some of my anger out. And since you’re just itching to get your lights dimmed, step on up and get yourself a piece.” Albright walks on down, and a ref runs down to officiate. The match doesn’t last long, and it isn’t a technical masterpiece by any means, but it’s a passable fight, and Albright gives Kingston a good fight. But Kingston shows why he’s the champ and puts Albright down. As soon as the bell rings, Jimmy Jacobs comes out onto the stage, clapping. Under his arm is a brown satchel. “Bravo, Edward,” says Jacobs. “A sterling performance, as usual. But there’s more to being champion than just pummeling opponents into unconsciousness. To be champion, one must be in both peak physical condition, and mental. Your mind must be as sharp as a razor. I fear, Eddie,” he says, holding up the satchel which is distinctly circular, “you’re far from the sharpest mind. It’s time I illuminate you to two important truths, Eddie. One is that pain is home to my heart, so you’ll find yourself hard-pressed to find a weakness you can exploit at Do Or Die that will make me say ‘I quit’. Second is that no matter what you do, say or think, I’ll remain two steps ahead.” Jacobs lays the satchel down on the stage, steps behind the curtain for a second, then comes back with a sledgehammer. “What you need to consider,” says Jacobs as he raises the hammer above his head, “is how far you’re willing to go in an unwinnable war. I, Eddie, have no limit. Ask Lacey.” Kingston is about to climb out of the ring, but Albright grabs him from behind and dumps Kingston on his head with a half-nelson suplex. Jacobs sets down the hammer, scoops up the satchel and walks down to the ring as Albright slaps on the Crowbar. Jacobs squats down in front of Kingston’s face. “Thank you, Brent. Eddie, I never forget a grudge. You’ve taken two titles and a woman from me. I can never repay you for the torment you’ve inflicted on me. But I will spend a lifetime trying.” Jacobs opens the satchel and pulls out the contents: a dinner plate, not the ROH World Championship. “I only wish I could take credit for taking your belt. But I did enjoy manipulating you with it tonight.” Jacobs stands up and orders Albright to release the hold, which he does. “Were I you—and I’m grateful I’m not—I’d spend the next few weeks making a choice; since you can’t push me to the point of quitting, you need to decide how long you want to prolong the agony on the 22nd.” *** Winner: Kingston (pinfall, Royal Flush) Quality: 83% Crowd: 73% Overall: 78% 7th segment: Claudio Castagnoli w/Don Callis vs. Arik Cannon Castagnoli comes out first with Callis, and as soon as Callis takes a seat by the timekeeper, Jimmy Bauer sighs. “Oh, great, we can all see how this is gonna end,” he opines … until Arik Cannon comes out with Paul Heyman, which puts Callis’ jaw on the floor. Every time Callis even twitches his nose, Heyman has his eye on him and makes enough movement to freeze Callis in his tracks. The result is Cannon and Castagnoli having a by-the-book match, which rattles Castagnoli by the way he wrestles. As Cannon makes a comeback after a lengthy period of Castagnoli dominating, Callis begins to sweat. He starts to get up, and Heyman starts to come around; Callis keeps coming, and Heyman comes around to confront him directly. While Heyman and Callis are tied up, Jay Lethal runs out and slides a chair in the ring while the ref is out of place. Castagnoli catches it and pulls an Eddie Guerrero, punching the chair, tossing it to Cannon and flopping on the ground. And the ref takes the bait, signaling for the DQ. Callis rips the mic out of the ring announcer’s hand. “Savor the next week, Arik! Drink it in! Enjoy every house show, every diner your fat ass can find in every city we visit, because next week, it’s all over!” [“What does that mean?” says Bauer.] “Next week on Throwdown, there will be a first-ever match: an Arena Ejection match!” [“What the hell is that?”] “The winner is the man who can drag his opponent to any outside door in this arena and throw them out into the street. And the stipulation is fitting, because the loser is out of Ring Of Honor!” ***3/4 Winner: Castagnoli (disqualification) Quality: 91% Crowd: 82% Overall: 86% 8th segment: The Burning River Brigade vs. “Malibu” Tyler Black & “Champagne” Kory Chavis, no disqualifications For being a no-disqualifications match, rarely does anybody take advantage of it, as Black wrestles with particular focus on trying to out-wrestle Prohibition and Cross. Chavis is the first to use the stipulations, and Cross and Prohibition only do so in kind, but between them and Black, it’s a very intense wrestling match. Slowly, Black and Chavis begin to crumble, as Chavis makes several lackadaisical pins with one foot, and stops to preen and taunt the crowd, which irritates Black. In the closing moments, Chavis has Cross up on the top turnbuckle, setting him up for what looks like a reverse superplex, but he stops to taunt the audience again, and Cross elbows him in the face. Chavis drops to the mat, and Black – brawling with Prohibition in the ring – goes for a clothesline, only for Prohibition to duck, and connects with Chavis. Prohibition dropkicks Black out of the ring, and Cross comes off the top turnbuckle to put the stamp on the match. *** Winners: BRB (pinfall, Cross on Chavis, Death From Above) Quality: 81% Crowd: 81% Overall: 80% Notes: Tyler Black gained overness from this feud ending. Kory Chavis gained overness from this feud ending. Josh Prohibition gained overness from this feud ending. Matt Cross gained overness from this feud ending. 9th segment: Bryan Danielson vs. Christian Cage Danielson and Cage have a clean, straight-forward match, and a damned good one at that. After 10 quality minutes, the crowd is on their feet for every move and every near-fall. Don Callis once again comes out, but he stays up on the stage, watching with nervous anticipation as Danielson escapes several close pinning predicaments, and fails to clinch several of his own. In the end, Danielson tries a roaring elbow, Cage ducks and turns it into the Unprettier. Cage leaves before Danielson, who sits in the ring, dejected and angry for a minute before leaving. Callis waits for him, and as soon as Danielson gets to the stage, Callis starts reading him the riot act, saying that kind of performance is exactly why Nigel McGuinness is the crown jewel. Danielson looks both angry and deflated, until Shawn Michaels comes out and just glares at Callis for a long moment. Then, without warning, Michaels drops back and comes forward again, kicking Danielson in the head. Michaels then looks at Callis again and says; “If you undermine my match with Bryan at Do Or Die by making him doubt himself, the next kick has your name on it.” ***3/4 Winner: Cage (pinfall, Unprettier) Quality: 87% Crowd: 87% Overall: 86% 10th segment: Paul Burchill vs. Edge Unfortunately, the match doesn’t last long … but for what is there, it is nothing but pure intensity and hatred, starting as they brawl their way through the curtain, down the ramp and into the ring. The total length of the official match is only a minute and a half before the ref has to award it on a disqualification to Edge, but the fight before and after are what make it memorable. The disqualification comes when Burchill, having fallen into the timekeeper, comes back up with the ring bell and blasts Edge in the face. When Edge’s face is visible again, he’s bleeding. Burchill, like a shark, zones in on the blood; he grabs the timekeeper’s hammer, turns it around, and uses the claw end to try and rend the flesh off Edge’s forehead, until officials rip the hammer away and get the two separated. ****1/4 Winner: Edge (disqualification) Quality: 93% Crowd: 92% Overall: 92% 11th segment: Steve Corino & BJ Whitmer w/Paul Heyman vs. The Elite w/Don Callis The Honor Guard come out first, and stand around looking cocky when only Heyman comes out. He asks for the microphone. “Ladies and gentlemen … tonight is the first night the two men you are about to see will willingly stand beside one another as teammates. Tonight is the beginning of a reckoning for the murderer of dreams Don Callis. You can set your watch and circle the calendar, as tonight marks the countdown to the demise of The Honor Guard. Tonight … we draw a Line In The Sand!” And with that, Corino and Whitmer come out to the tune of the same name by Motorhead. The crowd goes nuts as Whitmer and Corino stand side by side on the stage. They glance at one another and nod, then run to the ring. The Elite scramble out of the ring, so Corino and Whitmer split up and circle in on them, thus starting the match on the outside. From there, Whitmer and Corino show a shocking level of unity for two men who not only are new to partnering, but don’t even like each other. The Elite are left rattled and, for the last five minutes of the show, struggle to keep their heads above water. When Nigel McGuinness runs out for a cheap shot on his rival, Corino anticipates it, meeting him in the aisle and clocking him with a superkick. Whitmer, meanwhile, manages to dispatch of both Sydal and Evans, getting the pin on Sydal. Callis calls for reinforcements, but Brian Kendrick and Jimmy Rave don’t come to the rescue; instead, they come stumbling out, collapsing on the stage, while Murderdeathkill come out behind them with their canes. MDK make a beeline for the ring, sending The Elite scrambling for cover. Likewise, McGuinness decides the battle is lost for the evening, and he retreats. The Honor Guard watch as Corino, Whitmer, MDK and Heyman stand tall … and MDK shake hands with Heyman. Preview for Throwdown, February 16, 2009:* The card for Do Or Die has been changed! Please scroll below for the latest updates! *- “Malibu” Tyler Black & “Champagne” Kory Chavis left everything on the table in their no-disqualifications match with The Burning River Brigade … but they came up on the losing end. Tonight, they’ll try to get back on the winning track … but standing in their way is the three-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, Murderdeathkill. Will this be the way for Black & Chavis to lick their wounds, or will MDK just add to their misery? - For a few years, when he worked in small, regional promotions, Chris Hero was often compared to Edge, both in wrestling style and attitude. Now, they’re in the same promotion … and on Throwdown, Hero will face Edge in singles competition. Edge is now booked for Do Or Die in a First Blood match against Paul Burchill, while Hero is part of the huge Steel Cage Warfare match. Both have been hot lately, but Edge is still without a pinfall or submission loss to his ROH record. Can Hero step up and stop the winning streak, or will Edge cool Hero’s jets? - Christian Cage has found himself in hostile waters since signing with ROH. He was brought in to be the counter-balance against Edge, but he’s begun to attract the attention of The Honor Guard. Tonight, he’ll add a third set of crosshairs on his back, when he steps in the ring with “The Mechanical Animal” Austin Aries. Aries has shown no mercy to anyone he’s crossed paths with, as he hurtles towards a Fight Without Honor against Roderick Strong at Do Or Die. Cage, meanwhile, has racked up win after win since officially debuting with ROH, including a win over former ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson last week. - Shawn Michaels has upped the ante in his feud with Bryan Danielson. He’s dropped all pretense of trying to reach Danielson and clear his head and he just wants to win, as evidenced by kicking Danielson in the face as he was getting dressed down by Don Callis. After Unleashed, Danielson called the offices and left this message: “If Shawn wants to get down and dirty, I’m happy to oblige. We can still have our Iron Man match at Do Or Die, because that’s about proving who the better wrestler is. But right now, I just wanna beat the piss outta him. I’ll be at Throwdown, in the parking lot, waiting for him. No Honor Guard, no back-up. Just two men. Tell him I’m waiting.” Will Shawn Michaels show up for the fight? - Our main event will be a tag match involving two of the most nasty feuds going in ROH. It doesn’t need hype. It doesn’t need explanation. All you need to know is who’s in it. On one side, Jimmy Jacobs and Homicide. On the other side, BLKOUT reunites in the form of ROH Wrestler’s Choice Champion Ruckus and ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston. Did we mention it’s a falls count anywhere match? - Plus, Steve Corino and Nigel McGuinness will both be at Throwdown, and you can bank on the two colliding! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
