You have to be prepared to get that 19/20 year old kid out of training, then stick him in Developmental for forever.

OK, I've downloaded the game again thanks to the link provided. Just a few questions/scenarios to run by you guys now that I'm here.
1)I've noticed that the updates thread you guys have is pretty much invalid, as the links/hosting sites have expired. Is there another place I can get updates? I found a December 2012 update online, but it keeps crashing my game for whatever reason, so I deleted it.
2)I've also considered just running a game in the 2003 timeline that the game starts with (Jarrett unsackable in TNA, some of the all stars we know and love like Samoa Joe have mediocre stats). If I do go that route, I'd probably either do a TNA game to try to elevate them ASAP, or go for the slow burn by taking ROH or MLW and building around who I can afford and make them compete with the big boys. Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

gnetwork.reallyhotstuff.net/ewr.phpThats usually the site that i get everything from, but its down right now. Bad timing. As far as your 2nd question goes, I think an early TNA game would be interesting. Magiconz had a 2004 TNA diary for a bit that I enjoyed, but he ended up stopping it and starting another one instead (which is also good). I think early TNA would be fun. But really, just do what you think youd enjoy most, I'll read it regardless, even if it takes me a while to get to some of the shows.

Awesome, thanks for the link and the feedback. I've actually been tinkering with some ideas on a notepad as I sit at work today (fear not, it's pretty slow so I have the time, lol). There are a lot of things I've come up with, not necessarily as a "redux" but also some dream matches/feuds that I think could elevate the company to compete with the WWE in the game.
I've actually been browsing the site, and have taken up reading through your ROH diary. Really good stuff, and I like the blend of homegrown talent like Chris Stylez and Nightmare Manson as major players alongside familiar guys. One thing I never paid much attention to was making homegrown stars, but that's going to change with my new game.

Just like to put in my agreement with Comahan: better to do a diary you know you'll enjoy than just picking scenario for the sake of it. Not that a TNA 2003 scenario wouldn't be interesting (were Joe's stats really that bad then? Dude was ROH World Champ by mid-year), but if your heart is in something else, do what will keep your interest as a writer, and the readers (like me) will follow.
Jed Shaffer ~If you haven't yet, give my diary a read as well.

I'll be sure to check out your diary for sure. Re-reading through this site has given me a few base ideas for what I could/might do. I've also gone back to the old EWR thread I had at my old board. As said it was more for humors sake (and it was XPW, so you can just imagine the kind of humor), but it's sparking memories of talent/angles that I could utilize.
The more I think about it, the more I think I'd have the most fun doing a "retro" game and starting with the original rosters. I'm looking at it like a Marvel Comics "What If" series. I think I would have more fun creating a fed in my vision than just working a current "imagine if this went down!" scenario.
If all goes well, you can expect an official diary thread to get started by Monday, as I tinker around with ideas and try to finalize things to "officially" become a part of your community here.

So...I have a question. I've played EWR for years, and never figured this out. What does it mean when, in the meeting, Sophie says that the market is at XX% and it's beginning to weaken/strengthen? Does that mean ratings/attendance will be down during this time, which will result in lower ticket sales?

Yes. A rising market means that, as the percentage increases, ratings will increase, ticket sales will grow, and PPV buys will increase. In turn, your promotion will grow in size faster. If it's going down, tickets and ratings decrease, and you'll have a tougher time growing.
Jed Shaffer ~Never played long enough to get 100%. But 0% ... Yikes.

Hey guys, I'm new here, and also kinda new to EWR but I enjoy it so far, just having a few problems. Figured I might ask here and maybe one of you can help. For now I just wanna ask one specific thing: I do play EWR version 4 update 2 (so I guess that makes it 4.2 then) and I have read, in the "official" EWR guide within the game, that a worker's various attributes include "Stiffness", "Selling", "Attitude" and "Behaviour". Yet I don't see those attributes at all. My screen looks like this (not my pic) img171.imageshack.us/img171/4843/ewr02.jpgSo, where are those attributes? At the moment I only get a mail about a worker being too stiff every once in a while but it might be beneficial to know those things before you hire guys. Thanks in advance.

Those stats don't appear on the screen. They're a secret and you only get a hint of what they are through emails (Wrestler X complaining that Wrestler Y worked too stiffly), incidents (The lower the behavior stat, the more trouble the worker gets into), and road agent notes (occasionally, a road agent will tell that a worker's selling was poor during a match which ended up hurting it).

quick question - how can I change someone who has open contract to a written? I went out and signed several new guys to written contracts so I could run house shows (and the income offsets their cost so that works out fine) but I'd like to convert a few others that I use a lot to save some dough.
