CHIKARA PRESENTS The Media Bowl: Chikara is pleased to announce the beginning of our 2013 year in style as we hold a special iPPV entitled “The Media Bowl.”
We open 2013 off right with the Grand Championship on the line as
Chikara Grand Champion “the War King” Eddie Kingston does battle with
F.I.S.T.’s Icarus in our main event.
Not only will we be seeing the Grand Championship put on the line, we will also see the Campeonatos de Parejas in action as the
Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson take on the team of
Hallowicked and Mike Quackenbush with the belts not on the line.
Mr. Touchdown isn’t as lucky as the Jacksons, as
”Mr. Touchdown” Mark Angelosetti puts his Young Lions Cup to the test against former Young Lions Cup holder
Frightmare. Frightmare remains eligible for the new cup, despite the obvious.
And now for the namesake for the Media Bowl,
”Mr. Media” Cliff Compton begins a Media Tour through Chikara to try and earn a spot on the Roster.
Probationary-Director of Fun Wink Vavasseur will announce his opponent for the Media Bowl leg of his tour at the show live.
And in some classic Trios Action,
The Swarm takes on
The Colony with their classic, for the Colony, line-up returned. The Six Ants will do battle until three stand tall.
And points are in play for the teams of
3.0 and
Tim Donst and Jakob Hammermeier as they go toe to toe in Tag Team action looking to accumulate 3 points to take on the Young Bucks some time this year.
Ophidian claims to be done with changes and crisis, and has a special treat for the Chikarmy, he will be
bringing back an old friend of the Chikarmy to show off his strength. When he rends and destroys the blast from the past, Chikara will know his true power.
