Ring of Honor hires new head booker! 01/10/07
ROH has hired a new head booker, who goes by the name of Ty Lovell. This is not his first booking job as he has booked for several indy promotions in the past; however this is easily his biggest job.
New ROH championship~!
Introducing: The ROH National Heavyweight championship! The first ever champ will be crowned at Glory by Honor! New matches added to ROH Glory By Honor~!
-Recently added to the Glory By Honor card is a match to crown the first ever ROH National Heavyweight champion. We have now received information that this match will be a Four Way Dance featuring: Adam Pearce, Kevin Steen, M-Dogg 20 and an unnamed debuting wrestler!
-Also added to the card recently is a HUGE Tag Team championship Three Way Dance match between The Briscoes, The Kings of Wrestling and the debuting MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS!
-The final new match to be added is an ROH World Heavyweight championship defence as Takeshi Morishima defends against the returning LOW KI in what’s sure to be a great match.

More new ROH Signings: Colt Cabana: I think we ALL know who that is Matt Sydal: A great high-flier and a former Generation Next member Mike Mondo: A good technical wrestler who used to wrestle for WWE as Mikey of the Spirit Squad. Teddy Hart: A member of the famous Hart family and a good high-flier. He has a bit of a reputation as a trouble maker backstage, however. ROH Competitor injured! ROH Wrestler Puma has sustained a Triceps Strain and will be out of the ring for 2-4 months. Ring of Honor presents: Glory By Honor!
Dark match: Brent Albright d. Austin Aries via cheating. * ¾. Opening match: Mistico vs. El Generico A great match between the two luchadores that Mistico wins after a La Mistica. After the match, Generico offers a handshake and Mistico accepts… and then Mistico decks Generico! He goes up top and hits a High-Angle Senton Bomb! ** (I expected better) In-Ring Segment: Roderick Strong is in the ring, just standing there as the crowd boo him. Suddenly Jack Evans’ music hits and he runs down to the ring, however, instead of decking Strong as the fans thought he would he would, Evans shakes his hand! The two announce that they are reforming a two man Generation Next! They also announce that they’ve been added to the ROH Tag Team championship match, making it a Four Way Dance! [Jack Evans's turn was completed, and he is now a heel. Jack Evans gained 3 points of overness from this turn.] Second match: CIMA vs. KENTA vs. Masato Yoshino vs. Susumo Yokosuka A good match between the four Japanese competitors, KENTA wins after a Go 2 Sleep on Masato Yoshino. ** ¼ (Seriously, WTF?) [CIMA is losing overness because of his weak gimmick. (Imma fire him anyway… So oh well.)] Third match: Adam Windsor vs. Jonny Storm vs. Jason Cross vs. Kid Romeo A good match between two great high-fliers in Jonny and Jason and two good all-rounders in Adam and Romeo. Cross picks up the win and the ROH contract after he nails his finisher, Cross Fire, on Romeo for the three. * ¾ [Jason Cross is losing overness because of his weak gimmick. (Cocksucker)] Fourth match: Adam Pearce vs. Kevin Steen vs. M-Dogg 20 vs. for the ROH National Heavyweight championship The final competitor is revealed as…… . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . COLT FREAKIN’ CABANA!Unfortunately, he loses as he is pinned by Kevin Steen after a Package Piledriver. ** (WHAT. THE. FUCK.) In-ring segment: Unfamiliar music plays as PAUL F’N HEYMAN makes his way to the ring! He announces himself as ROH’s new commissioner! [Paul Heyman debuted his new gimmick (Commissioner), it got a positive response. Paul Heyman gained 2 points of overness from this segment.] Fifth match: Low Ki vs. Takeshi Morishima© for the ROH World Heavyweight championship A fucking great match between two excellent competitors. Low Ki wins after a Warrior’s Way to become the first ever Two-time ROH World Heavyweight champion! *** ¾ (Okay, the fuck?! This had a 94% fucking match rating!) I... Haven't the slightest... Look into it. Upgrading your refs to the best available is essential. A bad ref can take a **** match and KILL it. Once you get TV, announcers play a role in that as well. Look at your refs' stats, then look on the market and upgrade as many as possible. For that matter, do it for all staff positions. Especially medical. My bad. I read it wrong. Jed Shaffer ~Need to get to work on the next show, which will totally not be as awesome as Throwdown was.
