Needs more Eric Young!
Seriously, excellent read. I liked how Cage was booked and I marked for the Kurt Angle segment.
Now, I wonder...with Abyss gone, will WWE pick him up?

TNA iMPACT! January 10, 2008 iMPACT! Zone (Soundstage 21) Orlando, Florida
*Mike Tenay and Jim Cornette welcome the fans to another edition of TNA iMPACT!. They prep the card then head to the ring for the opening bout.*
Segment #1
"Wildcat" Chris Harris makes his way to the ring with a whole new look prepared. His opponent, former Team Canada alumni, Robert Roode, follows. With Ms. Brooks in his corner, Roode manages to gain an advantage of some stretch over Harris, but in the end Harris starts to look past his valet. Roode still manages to pick up the win with some leverage from the ropes. *** He rolls outside of the ring before Harris can get his hands on him. Ms. Brooks attempts a sneak attack on Harris from behind, but he catches her low blow attempt then hits her with the Catatonic. Roode doesn't dare go to her aid, but simply stands in shock on the entrance stage as Harris shoots him a cold grin.
Overall Rating: 74%
NOTES: Roode gained overness from this.
Segment #2
The announce crew take us backstage to Jeremy Borash. He's with James Mitchell and Jimmy Rave. Mitchell runs down Petey Williams again this week. Talking up how Rave was just the better wrestler, and that Williams is nothing but a fraud to the X Division.
Overall Rating: 76%
Segment #3
Rave is out next for a match against the crowd favorite, Shark Boy! Shark Boy puts up his usual heroic effort, but inevitably it all seems for nothing. Rave begins to play with him, which aggrivates the fans. Before he can finish him off though, Williams comes out from the crowd in disguise. He takes Rave's attention away from Shark Boy by taunting Mitchell. Shark Boy uses this for a surprise attack, and after his Deep Sea Driver, pins the loud-mouthed performer. ***1/4 Rave lays on the mat in disbelief as Shark Boy runs frantically through the crowd in celebration. Mitchell glares down Williams as Rave throws a temper tantrum inside the ring.
Tenay: Did Shark Boy just...WIN?!
Cornette: This can only mean one thing!
Tenay: What, is this a sign of the Apocolypse?
Overall Rating: 70%
Segment #4
We return to Borash backstage, and he's with Alex Shelley of the Motor City Machine Guns. Shelley runs down his opponent for tonight, Low Ki, saying it's only a matter of time for gold is around his waste. He throws Low Ki a warning, saying he doesn't have to come out tonight, in fact, it's likely in his best interest that he doesn't show. Shelley leaves with a cocky smirk across his face.
Overall Rating: 77%
Segment #5
Low Ki and Shelley lasts for about fifteen minutes, and it's all beauty really. The finish gets tarnished however when Chris Sabin tries to bail out his partner. A chair shot misses though, and collides with Shelley's tail bone. He falls to the mat, and one Warrior's Way later, Low Ki has his arm raised. ***1/4 The two get up quickly looking for some revenge, but Kaz comes running down with a Kendo stick in hand, and wards the duo off. Kaz and Low Ki stand tall in the center of the ring while MCMG retreat to the back.
Overall Rating: 79%
NOTES: Sabin debuted his new gimmick (Whole Damn Show), but it gotta negative response.
Segment #6
Cornette rises from the booth, and slides into the ring. He takes a microphone, and goes into discussion about the incident between Samoa Joe and Chris Kanyon from the previous week. He says that what Kanyon did last week was completely out of the question, but after the reaction he received from Joe, he saw no other option but to sign Kanyon. He says that Joe knows he has to prove himself at every turn, no matter what. Therefore, he books Joe vs Kanyon to take place at Final Resolution!
Overall Rating: 82%
NOTES: Cornette gained overness from this.
Segment #7
Jeff Jarret is shown walking the halls with Borash. He waves farewell, and heads to his room. As soon as he opens the door though, he gets blindsided with a stiff shot from Raven. Raven drags him inside, and puts a horrific beat down on him. He finishes the "King of the Mountain" off with a Raven Effect DDT onto an opened steel chair. He looks down on him mercilessly then slowly walks off.
Overall Rating: 82%
Segment #8
The "Instant Classic" Christian Cage makes his way down the squared circle with his usual arrogance apparent. He runs down Booker T in typical fashion. Booker T doesn't take this too well, and immediately comes down to exchange some words of his own. The two go toe to toe, trading insults left and right. Cage tries to get Booker T to make a move, but all he gets is a notice. "Come January 13, your ass is gonna be mine, Christian Cage! Now, can you dig that, SUCKAAAHHH?!?!?!" The iMPACT! Zone erupts with applause as Cage looks on with a blank stare.
Overall Rating: 81%
Segment #9
LAX are shown walking together backstage, plotting their next moves on the TNA World Tag Team title holders. They see Tomko waiting for them in the hall. They approach him with smirks, but he only gives them a deadly look. He asks them if they think it's cool to handicap people. LAX laugh him off, and tell him he's about to get the same treatment they gave AJ Styles. Just then though, Styles races up from behind them and tackles Homicide. Hernandez takes the bait and turns, and Tomko wallops him from behind. The champs put a vicious beat down on the number one contenders. They drop Homicide on the concrete then ram Hernandez through a nearby locker.
Overall Rating: 65%
NOTES: Hernandez gained overness from this.
Segment #10
The TNA X Division champion, Jay Lethal comes out with his tag team partner, Sonjay Dutt, in the main event. They our met by Triple X in a dueling battle. It's mostly just fast paced action, similar stuff to what the X Division's always been about. There's no upping the ante in this one as Daniels just wants to pound away at Lethal every change he gets. He gets caught up in his anger though, and following some nifty double teaming, Lethal drops the elbow for the three count. *** Their glory doesn't last long however, as XXX come back for more. This time Lethal and Dutt have no answer, and Daniels drops Lethal with his Angel's Wings onto the belt. Paramedics rush out to save Lethal and Dutt from any further damage.
Overall Rating: 74%
Segment #11
The big contract signing for Final Resolution is out to end the show. Kurt Angle comes out first with his gold firmly strapped around him. Sting follows with his occasional dark attire. They both ink the papers, but of course, a fight breaks out. Sting catches Angle off-guard by being the one to strike first. He levels the champ then slams his head onto the table again and again. He drops him with the Scorpion Deathdrop then applies the Scorpion Deathlock to a deafening reaction from the crowd. We fade out with Angle's face shown crying out for help.
Overall Rating: 88%
Overall Rating: 78%
NOTES: Lethal wants me to make his tag team with Dutt inactive.
Rating: 4.83
Attendance: 2,507
Ticket Sales: $75,210
Again, I didn't go into as much detail as I would've liked, especially on the Booker T/Cage segment. However, I haven't put up a show on here for quite a while, so I figured this is better than nothing. PPV is next so expect some big time bouts!

I'm lost again. I've been highly involved in many other subjects, not just real life, but some stuff over at the WrestleCrap Forums as well. Therefore I've had very short time to think about what to do here. I apologize, but until I can get things going, don't expect any major updates.
