Well, do you just go with the flow, like myself, or do you actually take the time to plan angles out and whatnot?

I take way too much time trying to plan stuff out. I have a 'Future PPV' word document. I dont follow it strictly, just use it as sort of an idea as to where I have what going. I have a 'Notes' word doc. I pretty much use it for everything. This is where the detailed part of my feuds go. For instance, before I had Alfonso have Punk suspended, I have a 30 some odd bullet point plan of where that angle was going. I keep my roster and info (as i just posted in my diary) in there. I have character traits for a few of my guys, how I want them to talk and act, and so forth. I have a list of stories I want to feature on each show, guys i want to highlight in the undercard, etc. But for the most part, this doc is just full of ideas that never really came to fruition. For instance, I had thought of brining in a ton of foreign guys to do a world cup like tournament. I had all of the participants listed, and how the tournament would come into play... never happened. I have a 'Preview' document. This is the planning out of my card for the next show i do. It includes what will actually happen in the EWR booking process, and a detailed copy of promos and the improvisation I do for the actual diary write down. Example; This is from my last show before my PPV. It ended in a complete clustersmurf with the world title main event guys ending the show staring each other down alone in the ring after a wild brawl. CM Punk & Nightmare Manson v/s. Joey Ryan & Christopher Daniels --- This is obviously just what the match is. - [Hero and Kennedy interfere, Kingston and Abyss make the save] --- This is what I will answer the options as in the EWR booking process - Eddie Kingston comes out and drags Joey Ryan off the apron, they start brawling. Mr. Kennedy and Bill Alfonso come to the ring and Kennedy spears Nightmare Manson. The ref calls for the bell. Chris Hero comes out to get Kingston off of Ryan, the duo double teams Kingston on the outside. Punk joins in with Manson to beatdown Kennedy. Punk/Manson/Kennedy/Kingston/Ryan/Hero are all brawling at one spot and Christopher Daniels climbs to the top rope and wipes them all out. He gets up looking happy with himself when the lights go out and Abyss' music hits. Abyss is in the ring now. Manson throws Daniels into the ring and Daniels runs into a massive Black Hole slam. He rolls out of the ring. CM Punk rolls in and is alone in the ring alone now. Kingston makes a comeback on Ryan and Hero on the floor and Hero retreats away, rolling into the ring for safety. Hero backs into someone and turns around. The show goes off the air with Hero and Punk staring each other down in the middle of the ring as all hell is breaking loose on the outside. --- That was the improv

Usually, I just book my shows as I get there. However, I have been thinking of new storylines to do, how to set them up, etc. lately. I've just been too lazy to put those in a word document/write it or to actually, you know, book the shows.

For big storylines (the main eventers, upper-midcarders), I have a series of crucial events I know I must hit, and when I will hit them. And for big story arcs, I plan those out in detail.
Everything else ... midcarders ... the in-between stuff for the bigger storylines that's the getting from Point A to Point B is partially improvised, unless/until I happen onto something good, and I find a way to ride that to the goal.
Jed Shaffer ~Except when injuries or other problems interfere. Then ... yeah ... back to the drawing board.

I plan out too much I think. I tend to get stumped on an idea and it cripples the entire storyline for me. It's a big problem for me, as you can tell by all of my daries that ended up going nowhere.

Characters I care about get more attention than others. So somewhere in the middle, mind you sometimes those charcaters (Glacier, Big daddy V pimping out Christy Hemme, Foul Ol'Ron {Low card jobber)}) shouldn't really have stories devoted to them, lol.
