No back story, no bullshit.
August 4, 2014 - Monday Night RAW
The pyro goes off as Monday Night RAW goes on air! Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL welcome us to the show with a quick rundown of what's to come tonight including a showdown between the United States Champion Sheamus and the Russian Hero Rusev and also Cesaro teams up with RybAxel to face off against John Cena and The Usos. What an action packed night we have in store!
Quickly after Cole, JBL and The King finish their rundown of tonight's action we see Paul Heyman strutting down the stage with a microphone. He's quickly into the ring and has some words for the WWE Universe. He announces that he is the one behind the one in twenty-one and one, and that the one in twenty-one and one will be here next week LIVE on Monday Night RAW! He continues to speak but has changed his focus to WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena. Heyman states that John Cena is everything that real wrestling fans hate, that he isn't a real wrestler, but an entertainer. Paul goes on to say that the Beast Incarnate will not only beat John Cena, but he will annihilate him, and Cena would be lucky to be able to get a shoulder up before a count of ten.
Dolph Ziggler and Rob Van Dam vs. The Miz and Alberto Del Rio
We return from our first commercial break of the evening to see The Showoff Dolph Ziggler and The Whole Damn Show Rob Van Dam making their way to the ring much to the delight of the crowd. Following them is former World Champion Alberto Del Rio and another former World Champion, and current Intercontinental Champion The Miz. As they enter the ring this match is underway. Alberto Del Rio and Rob Van Dam start this one off in the ring. A hard hitting, fast paced match is what this one is. Del Rio gets the upper hand to start after a big suplex. Frequent tags from The Miz and Del Rio dominate this match as they team up on RVD and drain his energy. Miz would then go for a Skull Crushing Finale only for Rob to roll him off and deliver a corkscrew kick to the chest which buys the separation he needed to give Ziggler the hot tag and Del Rio is tagged in as well! Ziggler comes in and nails clothesline after clothesline before drop kicking The Miz off the apron. Del Rio whips Ziggler off to the ropes, but on the rebound Dolph hits the Fame Asser! Dolph hooks the leg but The Miz breaks up the pin. The Showoff takes a swing at The Miz's moneymaker which causes Miz to drop down and roll out of the ring, but he isn't safe because Rob Van Dam delivers a suicide dive to the outside, taking the Intercontinental Champion down! Dolph quickly turns his attention back to Alberto Del Rio but Del Rio is back up and goes for a enzuigiri that is ducked by Ziggler and quickly followed with the Zig Zag! Ziggler hooks the leg and the ref counts three as Dolph Ziggler and Rob Van Dam are victorious! They stand in the middle of the ring with their arms raised as Del Rio is being checked on by the ref and The Miz retreats up the ramp clutching his Intercontinental Championship belt as tight as he can.
Zack Ryder vs. Bray Wyatt
We return from another commercial break to see the Long Island Iced Z standing in one corner of the ring awaiting his opponent. The screen blurs out and sees The Wyatt Family in the dark as Bray tells this Austin Texas crowd that they're here. The soft strum of the guitar then hits and down to the ring comes Bray Wyatt alongside his disciples Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Bray gets into the ring ready to face Zack Ryder. The bell rings and Zack tries to get on the offensive but Wyatt shoves him down to the mat. Ryder quickly gets up and starts charging at Bray again but is hit with a huge cross body. He quickly lifts the Long Island Iced Z to his feet and delivers a sit out spine buster before getting him up one last time to hit the Sister Abigail for the three count. Quickly after this one's over Bray has a microphone in hand. The Man of 1,000 Truths says that while these fans scream Save Us Y2J, what Jericho really needs to do is save himself from the beating that he's going to get at Summerslam. Before he can say anything else the lights go off and the lights of the jacket of Chris Jericho go on on the stage. We hear Bray exclaim get him, and as the lights go on Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are on the ramp only to notice that the jacket is on a mannequin on the stage and Jericho is right behind Bray Wyatt! Bray turns and is nailed with a codebreaker, and Jericho quickly escapes the arena through the crowd. The Wyatt's are steaming hot as Jericho makes his escape.
The Inspirational Bo Dallas makes his entrance at the Frank Erwin Center here in Austin, Texas as we return from commercial. He runs a victory lap around the ring before getting a microphone and sliding in. He tells the crowd that he only beat down R-Truth the way that he did because R-Truth needed a reminder as to why he should BO-lieve in Bo Dallas. He also states that R-Truth can have a rematch if he pleases on Friday Night Smackdown this Friday night, but he better BO-lieve that Bo will come out victorious. Bo then announces that tonight he will start another incredi-BO win streak against the leader of the Exotic Express, Adam Rose... And that match is up next!
Bo Dallas vs. Adam Rose
Adam Rose makes his way to the ring with fellow party members of the Exotic Express. Bo Dallas has his trademark smile on his face throughout the whole entrance, and gives Adam two thumbs up as he enters the ring. This match is now underway. The match is a technical showcase, showing that both men have good in ring ability. Bo is in control for the most part of this one, and runs quite a few victory laps around the ring. After delivering a big power slam, Bo Dallas slides out of the ring and starts running around the ring once again and when Adam Rose tries to go after him the ref stops Adam in his tracks. While the ref is occupied with Rose, R-Truth pops up from the crowd, hops the barricade and quickly runs and hits Bo with a forearm to the back of the head before sliding him back into the ring to be hit with the Party Foul for the three count. Bo's losing streak continues as Adam Rose invites R-Truth to celebrate with the members of the Exotic Express. Bo Dallas is in the ring screaming at the ref while the celebration is happening, The Inspirational Bo Dallas exclaims that that match was BO-crap and that he can't BO-lieve it before we cut to commercial break.
Rusev vs. Sheamus
Out to the ring comes the Hero of the Russian Federation alongside the Ravishing Russian Lana. Following him is the current United States Champion, out of Dublin Ireland comes Sheamus. Both men are in the ring for what should be a hard hitting contest and the match is underway. An intense, hard hitting, bone crushing match ensues as both of these men leave everything they've got on the mat. The match is evenly contested throughout and both men look good. Rusev seems to be closing in on a victory after hitting his patented super kick, but then the theme of The Real American, Jack Swagger came across the public address system and Swagger alongside manager Zeb Colter comes out to stand on the stage, plant the American flag on the floor and along with the crowd shouts WE, THE PEOPLE! Promptly after, Rusev turns into a Brogue Kick and this one's over. Sheamus comes out on top thanks in part to Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter. After the match, Lana enters the ring and holds back Rusev from going after Swagger.
We cut backstage now to see a very detailed drawing of the WWE Tag Team Championships on a chalkboard, and we zoom out to see Stardust closely examining it. Goldust walks into the frame and Stardust exclaims, I found it! I found it! Goldust promptly asks what he found, before Stardust shouts in excitement that he's found the cosmic key, and the cosmic key is Gold. Goldust then says that he likes Gold, even more than he likes Goldust... Stardust then says that they need to go after the cosmic key, because that will truly make them STARS. He then blows small golden stars into the face of Goldust before the camera zooms in on the gloves of Stardust.
The camera pans back to the arena now and we see the powerhouse, Roman Reigns, entering through the crowd. This crowd is in a frenzy for Roman Reigns. As he enters the ring, he has a mic in hand. He goes on to say that last week he got beaten within an inch of death. Last week he got beaten worse than he's ever been beaten before. To that, he only has one thing to say. Is that all Orton's got? He claims that if Reigns is able to be here, standing in the ring the week after a beating, you haven't done anywhere near enough. He goed on to say that on August 17, at Summerslam, Roman Reigns won't only beat Randy Orton, but he will rid the WWE of The Apex Predator. As this was said, we hear the familiar song of Voices played over the PA system and out comes The Viper, Randy Orton. Orton says that the only reason Randy let Reigns show up tonight, was so he could beat him even worse just one more time at the Summerslam Pay-Per-View. He says that this isn't just wrestling, this is personal. He doesn't like Roman Reigns, and he doesn't want a wrestling match, he wants a fight. So at Summerslam, it will be Randy Orton going up against Roman Reigns under Extreme Rules. Reigns then goes on to say that he will beat Orton with anything he can find throughout the entire Staples Center, and that Randy Orton can believe in that. We cut to another commercial break after this.
As we return we see Seth Rollins in the office of Triple H, and he's mad. He's shouting that they need to put an end to this, they need to put an end to Ambrose. He continues by saying if Hunter doesn't do anything about it, Seth will take it into his own hands. Trips goes on to tell Seth to not do anything stupid, anything he might regret, but Seth storms out of his office.
Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil vs. Kofi Kingston and Big E w/Xavier Woods
The newly formed tag team of Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil make a quick entrance, and the crowd sees this as a dud. Following that is the entrance of Kofi Kingston and Big E alongside Xavier Woods, who get a mixed reaction as the crowd doesn't know whether to cheer or the boo the men. We kick this one off with Kofi and Slater in the ring, Kofi is quickly on the attack. A few quick tags between Kofi and Big E clearly put them in control. Slater finally gets his chance when he slips away from the Big Ending and goes running to tag Titus O'Neil in, but he's met by a big boot from his tag team partner! The impact sends him right back to Big E who hits the Big Ending, and gets the three count. The match is over, and we're not sure exactly what just happened as Xavier Woods makes his way into the ring. He stands in the middle of the ring alongside Kofi Kingston and Big E. Xavier then motions to Titus O'Neil, who enters the ring, lifts Slater up and delivers the Clash of the Titus. Woods, Kingston, Big E and Titus all put their hands together and look off to the crowd as we cut to commercial break.
As we return to Monday Night RAW, the Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose is on the titantron and the crowd is going crazy. He says that Seth Rollins is a coward, that he's nothing more than Triple H's lapdog. He continues on saying that at Summerslam he will finally get his hands on his former ally, and that may be the last time the WWE Universe ever sees Seth Rollins. He shouts that if Rollins truly believes he's better than Dean Ambrose, than he'll put on the line what he stole from Dean, the Money in the Bank briefcase. He also said that if he doesn't put it on the line, Dean might have to just take it and bash in Seth's skull with the case. As he says this, we see Rollins run into the frame and slam the briefcase into the back of Ambrose's head. He continues to slam the side of the case into the back of Dean. He then helps Ambrose to one knee before placing the Money in the Bank briefcase down on the floor, running and delivering a Curb Stomp on the briefcase which now has an indent of Dean Ambrose's face in it. Seth stares at the downed Ambrose as the camera cuts away to a video package.
The video package consists of checking up on AJ Lee's health from the bump she took last Friday on Smackdown after falling off of the stage, she is said to be okay and will be on Friday Night Smackdown this Friday.
Sin Cara vs. Fandango
The camera cuts right into the ring where Fandango is standing awaiting his opponent of the evening. The theme of Sin Cara hits, and he comes out with Summer Rae and Layla by his side with masquerade masks on. Sin Cara enters the ring and this match has officially started. The match is a very quick one, as Fandango is shouting at Summer Rae and Layla throughout the whole match. He asks why they're doing this to him, why they left him. It seems as if he is closing in on a victory when he makes his way to the top rope, seemingly to go for the Leg Drop but Summer Rae and Layla both hop on the apron and persuade him to come down, because they have a surprise. The surprise isn't what Fandango had thought, though, as Sin Cara hits a springboard wheel barrow victory roll for the three count and once again Summer Rae and Layla have cost Fandango a match. They go on to celebrate with Sin Cara in the ring as Fandango speeds up the ramp, visibly frustrated.
Now coming to the ring is Stephanie McMahon, but before she can even get a word in the music of Brie Bella hits and down she comes with her sister Nikki. Stephanie McMahon is in the ring with both Brie and Nikki Bella as Brie takes to the mic. She announces that at Summerslam she will be accompanied by her sister Nikki, and that having Nikki in her corner will make the victory only that much sweeter. Nikki then takes the mic and says that last week Stephanie said she's going to make Brie her bitch, but the only bitch that's going to be in that match is Stephanie herself. The Billion Dollar Princess then says it's flattering to see a family reunion out here, but Brie isn't the only one that'll have a little back up at Summerslam. Right as she says this, we see a woman hopping over the barricade and into the ring delivering clobbering blows to the backs of both Nikki and Brie Bella. That woman is no other than the former D-Generation-X member, Chyna. Chyna then holds down Brie Bella, while Stephanie McMahon delivers slap after slap shouting that Brie is her bitch, as we cut to the final commercial break of the evening.
RybAxel and Cesaro vs. The Usos and John Cena
Onto the Main Event of the evening we go, and we see Cesaro alongside RybAxel coming down to the ring, followed by WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and the WWE Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso. All men are down to the ring and the bell sounds. The match is fast paced and quick hitting. The Usos and Cena are in control for a good portion of the match but RybAxel and Cesaro get their moves in as well. The turning point comes when the Usos both deliver suicide dives onto RybAxel as Cena hits the 5 Knuckle Shuffle on Cesaro. As Cesaro finds his way to his feet, RybAxel and The Usos are in the ring as well, Cena hoists Cesaro up to his shoulders, and at the same exact time the Usos nail Curtis Axel and Ryback with super kicks while Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment and gets the three count. John Cena and The Usos celebrate on the turnbuckles with their championships as Monday Night RAW goes off the air.

2) What are you looking forward to in the future of this BTB?
3) Do you like the extra addition into the New Nation?
