I went going back and forth on making this, since it's a pretty casual save, but recent results have motivated me to try and do my own version of TNA. My ROH save isn't on this computer, so it's *probably* done. So as I catch up on Jed's diary, here's my version of TNA. Lets start with Slaimmiversary!
Slammiversary
1. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards of The Wolves defeated Robbie E and Jesse Godderz of The BroMans to win the TNA World Tag Team Championship. This is the culmination of the long feud that began when The Wolves debuted and continued thru Lethal Lockdown to the point that The BroMans continually found ways to back out of matches against Davey and Eddie. Finally getting them in a match, The Wolves were able to prove that they were indeed the better team between the two, controlling the match until they made each guy tap out at once to win the Tag Titles. [79%]
2. James Storm defeated Gunner in a Texas Deathmatch. Gunner had won the Feast or Fired Briefcase for a World Title shot, which made Storm bitter and jealous. When Gunner cashed in the case to try and win the World Title from Magnus, Storm turned on Gunner and cost him the title. After several intense and physical brawls, the feud ends here in Storm's pet match, the Texas Deathmatch. After a brutal back and forth affair, Storm puts Gunner down with a beer bottle shot while Gunner is on the top rope, then a Last Call Superkick, knocking him off thru a table on the outside of the ring. Gunner is unable to answer the ten count, allowing Storm to win the feud. [81%]
3. Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian of Bad Influence defeated Homicide and Hernandez of The Latin American Xchange in a Tag Team Match. Bad Influence, annoyed that they were not given a Tag Title shot by MVP, sent out an open challenge for any tag team in TNA's history to face them at Slammiversary so that they can prove that no one as ever been as good as them in this company. LAX returned to accept the challenge. LAX was very impressive on TV prior to Slammiversary, but Bad Influence were too strong once they locked up at the PPV, with Daniels putting Hernandez down for the three count with Angels Wings and the Best Moonsault Ever. [85%]
4. Angelina Love defeated Madison Rayne and Gail Kim in a Three Way Match to win the TNA Knockouts Title. Ever since Angelina came back to TNA, she's pissed almost everyone else off, turning Velvet against Madison and taking the spotlight away from Gail Kim. Kim, angry about this, forced her way into that spotlight by trying to break the legs of both Angelina and the champ. When Angelina and Gail wrestled for a title shot, it ended without a true winner, leaving MVP to book a three way dance. Velvet, who was at ringside for Angelina, was the biggest factor in this match, as she not only pulled the referee out of the ring when Gail was about to win, but she distracted Madison, leading to the Botox Injection pump kick from Angelina that won her the match and the Knockouts Title. [68%]
5. Eric Young defeated Abyss in a Monsters Ball Match. For months, Eric Young tried to convince Joseph Park that he and Abyss were one in the same. When it was finally proven, Abyss snapped and blamed Eric for allowing this charade to go on for so long. After pummeling EY half to death on TV, Young returned looking for revenge, to try and drive the monster out of Park for good. Young challenged him to his own match, the Monsters Ball. While the Storm vs Gunner match was a wild brawl that spilled into the crowd, this match was full of plunder and weapons. In the end, Young was able to overcome the monster with an elbow drop onto him as he lay in a pile of Barbed Wire. [76%]
6. Ethan Carter III defeated Kurt Angle in a Singles Match. When Kurt challenged Magnus in England, Carter jumped Angle, injuring his knee. He further injured the knee when he spoiled Kurt's induction into the TNA Hall of Fame, knocking Kurt out of action and forcing him to miss Lockdown. Eventually, Angle was able to heal up and he came back with payback on his mind. Unfortunately, the talented EC3 was able to target the knee, which wasn't as healed as Angle claimed, eventually forcing Kurt to tap out to a Figure Four that EC3 had been using on TV. [79%]
7. Austin Aries defeated Jeff Hardy, Chris Sabin, and Samoa Joe in a Four Way Elimination match to retain the TNA X Division Championship. Arguably the three greatest X Division Champions of all time joined one of the innovators of the Extreme style for this rematch from BFG, where Sabin won the belt. Without Velvet to give Sabin the cheap win however, it turned into a fair contest with a ton of big moves and moments. Chris Sabin was eliminated first by Joe after a Muscle Buster. Hardy was gone second thanks to an Aries brainbuster. It came down to Aries and Joe, with Aries capturing the win after another brainbuster, retaining his title in a clean and decisive manner. [84%]
8. Bobby Roode defeated Bully Ray in a Full Metal Mayhem Match. Roode was Dixie Carter's chosen captain to battle MVP's team in Lethal Lockdown, while Bully was her chosen referee to make sure things went her way. Bully turned on Dixie though, causing Roode to lose and Dixie to lose her power. Roode, infuriated that Bully cost him a chance at ownership of the company, put Bully thru several tables, and even beat him in a Tables Match. They eventually agreed to fight in the most dangerous match possible, Full Metal Mayhem, with MVP otulawing Aries, Daniels, and Kazarian from ringside to make it a fair fight. It's a bloody affair thanks to chairs, ladders, chains, and stairs. However, after a huge Bully Bomb off the top thru a tower of chairs, a group of wrestlers jumps the rail and obliterates Ray as Dixie Carter steps out onto the stage with a smug smile. Roode is unconscious as Adam Cole, Kevin Steen, and The Young Bucks massacre Bully and put Roode on him for the win. Dixie applauds the wrestlers. [94%]
9. AJ Styles defeated Magnus to win the TNA World Title in a Steel Cage Match. AJ won the Bound for Glory series, and much to the disgust of Dixie Carter, refused to re-sign with the company before his title shot. He would win the belt at BFG and walk away from the company, not happy with how Dixie was running things. With AJ gone, Dixie crowned her own champion in Magnus. only for Styles to return and challenge Magnus to find out who the real champ really was. Magnus won after tons of Dixie-ordered interference, and AJ left the company for good, this time without the belt. However, once MVP gained full control at Lockdown, he entered contract talks with Styles, and after the main event of Sacrifice, Styles returned once more, this time a full-time member of TNA. Wanting a fair match without interference, MVP put them in a cage to finally decide who the better man is. With no where to run and no one to help him, Magnus is forced to rely on his skill, which while considerable, doesn't compare to AJ. Finally, AJ is able to win the title once and for all after a Spiral Tap from the top of the cage onto Magnus. [83%]
