Sorry for not giving regular feedback, I'm typically pretty good at that, but alas. Anyways, I finally caught up on your shows (you post at a pace similar to me in the early parts of my diary!), and Im really enjoying your diary.
First ill touch on the build for Turning Point.
I don't like Dan Maff irl. AT ALL. But I actually like he and his segments in your diary and was looking forward to him beating up Jarrett, so well done. Speaking of Jarrett, Im a fan of the addition of Saturn as his "eliminator" and Mickie as a valet (solid heel turn explanation too). Sort of left wondering where his alliance with AMW went though.
Loved the Sharky/Lynn angle leading into the PPV main event announcement.
I'm also intrigued with the Douglas attack angle. I'm a sucker for big, overarching storylines, and the continuous search for the attacker(s), when it could be anyone on the roster, is good stuff. It really picked up for me when Douglas came back and found out Jarrett and his crew didn't do it. Really like how you're handling this angle.
One issue I have, and it happened a lot more earlier on than it has lately, is that you have some of the faces lose way too much for my liking. I typically don't care much about wins/losses, but I think Kendrick lost 4 singles matches in a row after coming back, only picking up wins in multiman matches to continue the feud. Same thing happened with The Briscoes early in their rivalry with BSB, they lost like 3 straight tag matches against them, with the feud only continuing because they scored a win in a 6 man tag (i believe). Not a huge complaint, I can live with it, but in a diary where I like pretty much everything else you're doing, its easy for something small like this to stick out.
Now to Turning Point.
As far as the format goes, I thought it fit well for the PPV. Maybe keep your weekly shows the same, but do PPV's in the review-style format? I loved how you pushed the stories of each match, because in text-form, that's all we really have. Who cares about a 100% rated match in this if we cant see it? It has to be all about the story, and you did a very good job of that in all of the matches.
BSB/Devils Duo - Didn't expect a BSB face turn at all, and I cant really judge until we get some segments from them. I love The Devils Duo though, putting fresh life in two guys I really don't care about at all and turning them into one of my favorite parts of your diary. Liked seeing them win, and am looking forward to where this program might go once BSB are more fleshed out as babyfaces.
Daniels/Punk - You've handled Punk well since debuting him. His promos on Shane were real solid, and established him well. He also came off as a big deal being the first person your TV show focused on and pushed as someone important. "For those of you out in TV land who don't know me, my name is CM Punk, and maybe that name doesn't mean anything to you right now, but I promise it will." made him come off as a star. Great way to intro him to a new audience. Wish you'd have posted those last two shows leading to Turning Point, cause id have preferred to see the full segments on the Daniels/Punk lead-in, but that's a minor gripe. Daniels' pre match promo was fun (belt with its own seat! skeezoid!). Didn't really expect Punk to win as i was reading it, but with his build in the short time hes been here, I probably should have seen it coming. You've done really well in a short time to give a ton of credibility to Punk, and Daniels can take the loss without any problems.
Jarrett/Maff - Not much to say here, since this is pretty much how I saw this match going from the start. Solid feud though, and nice way to establish a new face.
Raven-Funk/Briscoes - Loved the writeup of this match. Funker going crazy, The Briscoes winning the belts, and the handshakes afterward. Agree wholeheartedly that thats how you put people over. Devils Duo, Punk, Maff, Briscoes. Hell of a job at pushing "new" acts so far.
Styles/Lynn - Id have totally gotten this prediction wrong. Didnt see Lynn winning at all. Really enjoyed that you waited until this match to go all-in with the nearfalls and the reversals and such, as it made it feel more important, as a main event should. Also dug both wrestlers reaction afterward, AJ selling it as the devastating loss it should be, and Lynn acting like hed just won the most important thing on the planet. Great stuff.
Awesome way to debut PPV in your diary. Like I said, I think the write-up style is perfect for PPV. I don't know about TV (probably because I like your shorter, easy-to-read tv segments), but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it if you really wanted to. Either way, keep up the good work, really solid diary so far.
~Sheesh, that was a lot longer than I thought it would be,
