OK guys, here we go. First time I've done this in a while so I apologize if it's shaky to start, but bear with me because I promise I have some good ideas here!
I've decided to go retro, sticking with the original format of the game for now, instead of installing any updates. We'll see how that goes for names from the past, the names we're familiar with now, and the random people we come across in free agency. And now, onto the diary!
BACKSTORY
Back in the early part of the 2000's, the NWA and the Jarrett family forged together to create NWA-TNA, Total Nonstop Action wrestling. Launched in a weekly PPV format, the show became an instant alternative to the fans longing for something other than the stale action of the WWE. However, it wasn't long before the new company was overrun with stars past their prime, overshadowing what was visibly and obviously the young talent that would be the future of the industry, and thus what things should be built around.
After a year of open contract workers, causing people to leave in the midst of storylines, walk out on the company, or just simply think they were too big for it, Jerry Jarrett had had enough. Knowing that yes, he still needed some name talent to survive, he purged many of the deals he had in place. Names like the Harris Brothers, Glen Gilberti, and even homegrown tag team America's Most Wanted opted out for greener pastures. This especially hit Jarrett hard as AMW forfeited the prestigious NWA World Tag Team Titles in order to hit the road, not even doing the time honored tradition of dropping the titles on the way out.
This takes us to tonight. The "aftermath", if you will, of the back office insanity. Starting tonight, new faces mix with the old. Starting tonight, all the chips are on the table. Jerry Jarrett is convinced he can make this work, and tonight, we see if he can.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 2nd, 2013: NWA-TNA IS REBORN
The fans that fill the Asylum are buzzing, as Mike Tenay and Don Callis welcome us to the first TNA of the new year! Tonight, we are guaranteed to see new champions, as former NWA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted have vacated the titles and left the promotion. Tenay remarks that the competition might have been too tough for the roughneck duo, as tonight they were set to face off with the fastest rising tag team on the scene, The Briscoe Brothers! Instead, tonight the Briscoes get their shot at the World Tag Team Titles, their first ever chance, as they take on the duo standing by...
We cut to the back, where FATHER JAMES MITCHELL is smiling and cackling with glee. Behind him rolling his wrists is KID KASH, and posing with his hands on Mitchell's shoulders and sneering into the camera is PSYCHOSIS.
MITCHELL: Tonight, tonight, tonight. A night of new beginnings here in TNA, and I come to you as the bearer of bad news. Well, it's good news for me, but bad news for the TNA roster and especially these two punks expecting to walk into TNA and have the World Tag Team Titles fastened around their waist. You see, Briscoe Brothers, I am a man of many talents, and one of those talents is creating opportunity out of necessity. If you look behind me, you see two men who NEEDED to be saved. This man, Kash...does he look like a kid to you? Because that's what TNA did to him...they treated him like a child. They walked on him, they abused him, they took advantage of his talents and left him with no reward...just the bruises and broken bones he left the ring with. And the man over my shoulder? Psychosis. A man with no regard for anyone's safety, not even his own, but always looked over because he didn't fit the "corporate mold". Well I EMBRACE people who don't fit the mold, and I welcome the used and abused with open arms into my sanctuary. These men, Kash and Psychosis, they NEED to avenge the injustices against them...and that leads us to opportunity. Tonight, on TNA, this pairing...this...Devil's Duo, shall we call them, will compete for the most prestigious titles in professional wrestling. The NWA World Tag Team Titles are theirs for the taking, and they WILL take them. Briscoe Boys, welcome to TNA. Welcome...to HELL.

OPENING MATCH: Shark Boy vs. Chris Sabin (c) for the TNA X Division Title
A fun opener mired by a crowd still anxious to see what else would happen on this first show of the new year. In quick succession, Sharky blocks a backdrop with a well placed kick to the face, sends Sabin to the corner, and follows up with the Dead Sea Drop for the shocking 1-2-3 and his first X Division Championship!

Backstage once again, where Don West is standing with the Briscoe Boys. Jay and Mark thank TNA for the opportunity and promise to represent the company well once they become tag team champions. As for Father James Mitchell and his comments earlier? Well they just happen to have an ace up their sleeve. A whistle blows incessantly and the Briscoes step aside to let BILL ALFONSO appear on camera. Alfonso says (well, shouts) that the Briscoes are legit and he's the one who went to Jerry Jarrett and told him he needed them in TNA. You want to recruit talent, Mitchell, well I can recruit too, and I'm gonna make sure my Briscoe Boys are the new NWA World Tag Team Champs, daddy!
OVERALL RATING: 81%. Bill Alfonso gained overness from this segment.
BRISCOE BOYS vs. DEVIL'S DUO for the NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES
The Briscoe Boys proved their worth, going tooth and nail with the veterans Kash and Psychosis. Mark Briscoe waylaid Kash with a flying axehandle and got the crowd behind him, waiting for the brothers to finish the Devil's Duo off...until he was hit from behind by Father Mitchell! Mark stumbles into the Moneymaker, and three seconds later we have new World Tag Team Champions in the form of the Devil's Duo! Alfonso isn't one to take this sitting down and he gets in the ring and spins Mitchell around...and gets a three on one beatdown for his troubles! The Devil's Duo and Father James Mitchell have made their mark tonight, leaving the mat stained red and leaving with the gold!

JERRY LYNN vs. SEAN WALTMAN
A battle between old friends sees each man able to keep up with the other until Lynn is able to hit a series of suplexes before finishing Waltman off with the cradle piledriver. Exhausted from a well deserved win, Lynn extends a hand to his old friend...but Waltman just glares at him and walks away, not taking the handshake!

In the corner of the arena he calls home, RAVEN has words for Jeff Jarrett. Ever since he came to TNA Jarrett has been the thorn in his side, and tonight Raven rips that thorn from his skin once and for all. Quote the Raven, nevermore.

Pretty much an extended squash for D'Lo, and the fans were Down With The Brown tonight.

Alexis Laree, a member of Raven's Gathering is backstage, when JEFF JARRETT comes up behind her and throws her into a waiting car. Jarrett pounds the door and the driver, who we never see, takes off with Laree kicking and screaming in the back!

HARDCORE MATCH: JEFF JARRETT vs. RAVEN
Everything from tables to popcorn was used in this one, and despite Jarrett's reassurance that Laree would not be a factor tonight, he still cheated his way to victory, dodging a Raven lariat and grabbing as big a handful of tights as he could muster. Raven immediately jumps up, ready to lay waste to Jarrett, who escapes laughing through the crowd.
Match quality 64%, Crowd reaction 605, OVERALL RATING: 55%. Jeff Jarrett lost overness from this match. Jeff Jarrett lost overness from this turn. Jeff Jarrett's turn didn't work very well and this affected the crowd.
(so the EWR viewing audience is nothing like the people who actually watched TNA from 2002-2006 or so? My guess is because Raven is still listed as a tweener in the game and not a face. Oh well, growing pains!)
OVERALL SHOW RATING: 66%
Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe blend as a team really well, probably due to their similar styles.
We got a 0.20 buy rate for 'TNA on PPV'! The attendance was 3445 people. We made $500000 from pay-per-view revenue. We made $44785 from ticket sales.

Also because you had what the user's manual describes as an "off-show". There's something of a 1-in-20 chance that, no matter how hot you book a show, the audience will just sit on their hands. Notice how none of the overall ratings for any of the matches are the average of quality/audience reaction. That's your telltale sign that the audience just isn't connecting with the show. Next show should probably get better results.
Although Raven being a tweener doesn't help his personal overness.
Jed Shaffer ~I've had those off-shows at PPV's. Such a deflating feeling.

NWA-TNA on PPV for 1/9/2013 Mike Tenay and Don Callis welcome us back to Week 2 of 2013. With the recent shakeups behind the scenes, last week not only kicked off a new year, but a new beginning for NWA-TNA. Father James Mitchell and his Devil's Duo of (Kid) Kash and Psychosis captured the NWA World Tag Team Titles over the debuting Briscoe Brothers, who were recruited for TNA by their "coach", Bill Alfonso! Jerry Lynn and Sean Waltman, two men who came up together, fought once again, with Waltman spurning Lynn's attempted sportsmanship. Shark Boy shocked fans worldwide by capturing the TNA X Division Title. Raven was set to battle Jeff Jarrett, and Jarrett took extreme measures in making sure Alexis Laree didn't get involved by taking her hostage and having her driven off by an unseen individual. The night ended with more questions than answers as Jarrett pulled a fast one to get a victory over his rival Raven, a move that had tainted him in the eyes of TNA fans. Backstage, D'Lo Brown confronts Jeff Jarrett about his actions last week, having to cheat to beat Raven. Jarrett tells D'Lo that he did what he had to do, but since D'Lo has a problem with it, that makes him as bad as Raven. D'Lo asks what he means by that, and Jarrett responds by kicking D'Lo low and running him into the lockers! Jarrett grabs his guitar, but it's snatched from his hands as he raises it overhead! Jarrett turns around to see RAVEN standing there, and the former ECW World Champion swings the guitar at Jarrett! Jarrett ducks, and the guitar shatters upon impact with the lockers. Jarrett takes off, telling NWA-TNA staff to keep Raven away from him, while medics tend to D'Lo Brown. 74%. Raven's turn was completed, and he is now a face. Raven gained overness from this turn.THE HOOLIGANS (Brian Kendrick and Paul London) with FRANCINE vs. THE BACKSEAT BOYZ (Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere) Tenay explains to us that the vacancy of the tag titles and the departure of America's Most Wanted has struck a chord with so many in the wrestling world, so much so that Paul London and Brian Kendrick "jumped" from the WWE for the chance to compete for those belts. Callis questions Francine's involvement with the duo, stating that she "ruins" every man she touches. Their opponents tonight are Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere, two men who have traveled the roads together looking for a chance to prove themselves, and a win over Shawn Michaels' prized pupils would be the way to do it! Despite their best efforts, Acid falls victim to the Hooligan's Holiday (Kendrick moonsault/London shooting star press), and the Backseat Boyz dreams are put on hold by the high flying Hooligans. Match quality 87% Crowd reaction 60% OVERALL RATING 73%There is a commotion at ringside after the opening match, caused by none other than NWA WORLD CHAMPION AJ STYLES. Don Callis eagerly approaches the champ to see what's on his mind. AJ, visibly miffed, tells Callis to tell the world why he (AJ) is upset. Callis sarcastically asks if it has to do with AJ being an afterthought last week. Callis tells him that he IS the NWA World Champion and that means he IS the very best, and he shouldn't take a backseat to anyone. Callis mentions how AJ's scheduled opponent, D'Lo Brown, was taken out by Jeff Jarrett earlier, and AJ says that he'll take on anyone in the back...Jeff Jarrett, Raven, Don West, even Jerry Jarrett himself. He is the World Champion, and that means anyone in the world is fair game to fall victim to a Styles Clash. OVERALL RATING 69%KASH vs. JERRY LYNN The newly crowned World Tag Team Champion is in singles action tonight against an old rival. Plenty of counters, reversals, and pin attempts, but its the interference of Psychosis that allows Father James Mitchell's newest charge to get the W. The Devil's Duo look to make an example of Lynn, but JAY BRISCOE rushes the ring and clears the ring of his rivals! Kash and Psychosis swear vengeance, but the young newcomer to TNA stands tall, helping Lynn to his feet while simultaneously telling the Devil's Duo that the Briscoe Brothers are coming for those belts. Match quality 87%, Crowd reaction 70%, OVERALL RATING 78% Kash gained overness from this segment. As the Devil's Duo get backstage, they're pounced on by MARK BRISCOE! Coming from the ring, JAY BRISCOE quickly gets involved, but security, already on edge from Jarrett's attack on D'Lo earlier, intervene within seconds. The Devil's Duo and The Briscoe Brothers exchange words, but will have to fight another day! OVERALL RATING 52% (Kash lost overness from this segment). RAVEN comes down to the ring, calling out Jeff Jarrett and wanting to know what he's done with Alexis Laree. MIKE SANDERS arrives on the scene and tells Raven that he needs to leave the ring and let a "real wrestler" do his job. Accepting this as a challenge, Raven beats the "Above Average" superstar from pillar to post, ending with the Raven Effect DDT! Raven continues to frantically call out Jarrett's name, and as Sanders groggily gets to his feet on the outside, Raven drops him again, letting his frustration out on his opponent some more! Match quality 64%, Crowd reaction 74%, OVERALL RATING 70%THE HOOLIGANS and FRANCINE celebrate their win backstage. Francine explains that London and Kendrick are daredevils, risktakers, and yes, even a little "extreme". She says that she knows all about extreme, and that when London and Kendrick made the jump to NWA-TNA, they wanted to have someone motivating them, keeping them in check, and watching their backs. The Extreme Cheerleader is perfect for the job, and mark her words, it's only a matter of time before the World Tag Team Titles come home to The Hooligans. OVERALL RATING 82%. Francine gained overness from this segment. Paul London gained overness from this segment.D'LO BROWN vs. JEFF JARRETT Despite the protests of the trainers and road agents, D'Lo heads to the ring! He puts up a good fight against Double J, but once again Jarrett's true colors show when he reverses a roll up and uses a handful of tights to obtain victory! Jarrett jumps up on celebration, but when RAVEN'S music hits instead of his, he high-tails it out of the ring and through the crowd, not wanting to face off with his nemesis. Match quality 78% Crowd reaction 73% OVERALL RATING 75%NWA WORLD TITLE: AJ STYLES vs. SATOSHI KOJIMA When AJ Styles said that anyone in the world could be his victim, he wasn't counting on the Japanese superstar to be that person! AJ immediately attacks, striking with hard, stiff kicks, taking offense that the foreign star walked right into a title shot. Kojima charges with a lariat, but AJ ducks, lands a Pele kick, and plants him with the Styles Clash for the decisive victory! Bleeding from the mouth, an angered AJ continues the assault on Kojima afterwards, making it clear that he is the World Champion and he is not to be taken for granted. TNA on PPV 1/16/13
This week's edition of TNA on PPV opens up with X-Division Champion SHARK BOY~! The crowd favorite clutches his title close and says that while some people think he's nothing but a joke, he's going to prove his worthy of this title. Tonight, he challenges the pioneer of the X Division, JERRY LYNN, to an X Division Title match.

THE BRISCOE BROTHERS w/ BILL ALFONSO vs. THE BACKSEAT BOYZ
A simply amazing match between two young teams destined for greatness in NWA-TNA. The Briscoe Brothers were *thisclose* to victory until the interference of the Devil's Duo, KASH and PSYCHOSIS, allowed the Backseat Boyz to pick up the win! As Alfonso protests on the outside, a four on two beatdown seems inevitable, until BRIAN KENDRICK and PAUL LONDON rush the ring and clear the Devil's Duo and the Backseat Boyz. After helping the Briscoes up, The Hooligans and the brothers decide that if the other two teams want to fight that bad, they could do it RIGHT NOW!
Match quality 100% Crowd reaction 53% OVERALL RATING 76% and a **** match!
THE HOOLIGANS and THE BRISCOE BROTHERS w/ BILL ALFONSO vs. THE BACKSEAT BOYZ and THE DEVIL'S DUO w/ FATHER JAMES MITCHELL
Carnage breaks out immediately amongst the eight men, and The Hooligans pick up where they left off last week, taking it to Acid and Kashmere. Some excellent tag team wrestling, including some nice double teams from Kendrick and Mark Briscoe, showing that they blend their skills together for the common good. A Jay Driller from Jay Briscoe finishes Johnny Kashmere off, and the Briscoes get the clean win over the Backseat Boyz, much to the chagrin of Father James Mitchell and his men.
Match quality 82% Crowd reaction 60% OVERALL RATING 71% and ** 1/2 stars.
Backstage, RAVEN again questions the whereabouts of Alexis Laree. He tells Jeff Jarrett that he wants her back, and just as importantly, he wants Jarrett's blood. He tells him he'll see him in the ring later tonight. Quick, and to the point. Quote the Raven, nevermore.
94%. Raven gained overness from this segment.
NWA-TNA X DIVISION TITLE: SHARK BOY (c) vs. JERRY LYNN
A competitive match that sees Lynn take too long to finish off the masked superstar and pay the price for it. A huracanrana sends Lynn into the corner, where Shark Boy finishes things off with the Dead Sea Drop. The three count is just a formality at that point, and Shark Boy and Lynn shake hands and raise each others arms afterwards.
Match quality 73% Crowd reaction 66% OVERALL RATING 69%. Jerry Lynn lost overness from this match. Shark Boy gained overness from this match. The X Division Title has gained in image.
DON CALLIS is with AJ STYLES backstage. How DARE NWA officials sic Satoshi Kojima, that unstable, that vicious, that MENACE on THEIR World Champion last week? And despite all that, he STILL couldn't get the job done, and isn't coming back to the US anytime soon. Tonight, there are other challenges in store for AJ Styles, namely that "Mortal Kombat wannabe", LOW KI. Callis said that Low Ki's name might be on the contract for tonight, but his face will soon be on the mat, courtesy of a Styles Clash.
82%. Don Callis gained overness from this segment.
NWA WORLD TITLE: AJ STYLES (c) vs. LOW KI
A great match between two of the men who have been with TNA since the beginning. Low Ki pulls no punches with the Phenomenal One, laying into him with kicks and strikes, and comes oh so close to taking the title home after a sick Tiger suplex. Just as he did last week, Styles rallies against his rival, taking his best and returning the favor, stunning Low Ki with a flying neckbreaker before driving him to the mat with a Styles Clash. The champ retains, but that's not enough, as he sets to make an example out of Low Ki by continuing to hammer on him after the match, telling him that he's not in his league.
Match quality 92% Crowd reaction 75% OVERALL RATING 83%. The NWA World Title has gained in image.
A video plays, similar to a political ad, for JEFF JARRETT. Part smear campaign against RAVEN, part hype video, the overly nice and smiling Jarrett comes off as totally insincere as he says "Raven is the epitome of everything that is wrong with this world. When you want what's right, you want Jeff Jarrett."
OVERALL RATING 86%
RAVEN vs. JEFF JARRETT
Jarrett opens fire right away, but Raven bounces him around the ring, leveling him with every move in his arsenal. As Raven sets up to finish off the cocky country boy, the shocking appearance of MMA superstar TITO ORTIZ distracts him...even moreso when Ortiz hops up on the apron and drops Raven's throat across the ropes! He staggers back into a Stroke from Jarrett, and after the ref counts three Jarrett celebrates like he's just won the Super Bowl. Ortiz gets in the ring and stares a hole into Jarrett, but then pounces on the downed Raven and applies a neck crank, choking him out as Jarrett taunts him to end the show!

TNA on PPV for 1/23/13
BILL ALFONSO is with MARK and JAY BRISCOE to kick off this weeks edition of TNA Wrestling! The hyperactive "coach" of the Briscoes says that the Devil's Duo like to think they can reign supreme over all the tag teams in TNA, so much so that they stick their business into matches they have no right to get involved in. This week, the Briscoes and Bill Alfonso have thrown them a little curveball, challenging either member of the Devil's Duo to team up with one of the Backseat Boyz and see if they can handle the Briscoe Brothers mano y mano. It's time to MAN UP and prove that they're the best, because the Briscoes think they're just a couple of posers dressed up like a freakshow.
OVERALL RATING: 70%
BRISCOE BROTHERS vs. TRENT ACID and KASH
KASH is the one to take up the Briscoes offer, pairing off with TRENT ACID of the Backseat Boyz to tangle with the persistent brotherly duo. Much like last week, TNA opens with a tag team clinic, as all four men battle it out to prove that their team has the right to be the top team in TNA. Unfortunately for Kash, it's he who takes the fall, falling victim to a back suplex/neckbreaker combination, and now the Briscoes have technically beaten (one half of) the World Tag Team Champions!
Match quality 100% Crowd reaction 64% OVERALL RATING 82%. **** 1/4.
RAVEN is in his nest, once again speaking on his current problems with Jeff Jarrett. He doesn't care about Jarrett's smear campaign, and he doesn't even care about Jarrett having him choked out by Tito Ortiz last week. Every offense that Jarrett commits will simply lead to more blood being spilled.
94%.
BRIAN KENDRICK vs. MICHAEL SHANE
This match came about when Shane issued a challenge to his old "classmate", stating that London and Kendrick got by on ass kissing, not skill, and certainly not the God given skill that runs through Shane's bloodline. Shane's mouth writes him a check he can't cash, as Kendrick gets the pin with Sliced Bread #2.
Match quality 79% crowd rating 64% OVERALL RATING 71% ** 1/4
PAUL LONDON vs. JASON JETT
Meanwhile, the other half of The Hooligans takes on debuting talent tonight, as the former EZ Money, Jason Jett, joins the ranks of NWA-TNA. Despite his recent pairing with Kendrick, London is no slouch in the singles department, as he and Jett take to the air multiple times. In the end, it's the jealousy of Michael Shane rearing its ugly head again, as he interferes, hitting a flying elbow to a fallen London, leaving him prone for a Jett pin! Kendrick hits the ring to save his partner, but being worn from his match still leaves him prone as well, and Jett and Shane leave The Hooligans laying to a massive amount of boos.
Match quality 93% Crowd reaction 67% OVERALL RATING 80% *** 3/4.
Don Callis and AJ Styles can't believe that, after what they did to him last week, that Low Ki is back for more. They're cool with it, because dishing out beatings and padding AJ's resume with another checkmark in the "win" column is always a good way to spend a Wednesday night.
69%.
NWA-TNA X DIVISION TITLE: SHARK BOY (c) vs. JERRY LYNN vs. PSYCHOSIS
The other half of the World Tag Team Champions was signed to become the third man in this match thanks to James Mitchell's protests that his winning streak in the tag ranks should enable him to get a shot at a singles championship. Shark Boy puts in his best effort to date, as he and Lynn team up to eliminate Psychosis first, an ironic twist of fate not lost on an irate Father James Mitchell. Shark Boy and Lynn then do battle once again, and again it ends with Lynn taking a Dead Sea Drop so that the fan favorite can retain the X Division Title.
Match quality 84% Crowd reaction 64% OVERALL RATING 74% ** 3/4. The X Division Title has gained in image.
NWA WORLD TITLE: AJ STYLES (c) vs. LOW KI
Low Ki is on a tear, gaining revenge for AJ's post match "enthusiasm" last week. Styles holds his own, showing why he's the World Champion, but his best efforts can't keep Low Ki down for the three count. Time runs out, and the referee rules the match a draw, but intensity doesn't subside, and Low Ki and AJ continue to face off, brawling out of the ring and into the crowd until they're finally separated.
Match quality 99% Crowd reaction 78% OVERALL RATING 88%. **** 1/2.
D'LO BROWN and RAVEN vs. JEFF JARRETT and TITO ORTIZ
The odd pairing of Jarrett and his new "muscle" meets the even odder pairing of Raven and Brown, whom Raven saved from certain doom several weeks ago. Ortiz not only manages to hold his own, but gets the win for his team when he drops D'Lo on his neck with a brainbuster and then chokes him out with a neck crank. Once again, Raven's revenge on Jarrett is thwarted, as Ortiz and Jarrett gain a victory.
Match quality 73% Crowd reaction 72% OVERALL RATING 72%. **.

NWA-TNA on PPV 1/30/13January has been a month of turmoil here in TNA. Jerry Jarrett purged many on the roster, including the NWA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted due to their non-effort and low morale. The beginning of 2013 has shown great, positive change in many ways. New faces have debuted, and the tag team scene is the most exciting in all of wrestling right now. Other things remain the same, such as Jeff Jarrett's death clutch on the company, and the efforts of Raven to remove him from TNA forever. Their feud has taken a different turn in recent weeks, with Jarrett turning his back on the fans, bringing in MMA star "Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Tito Ortiz as his hired muscle, and kidnapping Raven's valet Alexis Laree with the help of an unknown individual. Tonight on TNA on PPV, Raven has promised to shed Jarrett's blood and get to the bottom of this, and the two will compete in a FIRST BLOOD MATCH! Also on the card, the NWA World Tag Team Champions Devil's Duo, led by Father James Mitchell, will take on their rivals the Briscoe Brothers in a non-title match. If the Briscoes win, they'll get a shot next week on PPV. All this and more is coming at you...NOW! After the hype dies down, Raven, sans music, storms down to the ring. He's got Jeff Jarrett tonight but he has something he needs to take care of first...TITO ORTIZ. The brash bodyguard immediately heads to the ring, with Jarrett trying not to let him, but Ortiz shoves his employer aside and slides into the ring, going toe to toe with Raven! Ortiz pounds away, but Raven strikes with a low blow, then a chairshot across the back! Ortiz is dazed, and Raven sets the chair up in center ring, then whips Tito to the ropes...DROP TOEHOLD ON THE CHAIR! Ortiz goes down clutching his nose, his face a bloody mess! Raven takes the mic and turns to Jarrett, who stands on the ramp shocked. "I made your boy bleed, Jarrett, and now nothing is going to stop me from getting YOUR blood on my hands!" Jarrett backs off, wide eyed, as Raven stands tall. 71%. Tito Ortiz gained overness from this segment.NON-TITLE: BRISCOE BROTHERS w/ BILL ALFONSO vs. DEVIL'S DUO w/ FATHER JAMES MITCHELL Another exciting chapter of this feud, as The Briscoes fought tooth and nail, knowing that their shot at glory was at stake. Kash and Psychosis tried their usual trickery, and several times the Brothers were thought to be down and out, victims of the aerial assassins. The finish saw Psychosis get planted with the Back Suplex Neckbreaker, the Brothers patented double team finisher, and a three seconds later the Briscoes celebrated their victory and their chance to capture the NWA World Tag Team Titles next week! ****1/4

Shane returned to action last week, taking offense at the arrival of his former friends Paul London and Brian Kendrick, and interjected himself in a match with Jason Jett and London that saw him help Jett take the victory. Tonight, victory is not something Shane celebrates, as Shark Boy manages to counter his assault and pin the cocky star with his Dead Sea Drop. ***

The NWA X Title has gained in image.PAUL LONDON w/ FRANCINE vs. JASON JETT It's fitting that this follow Shane's match, since it was Shane who caused last week's finish, and Jett's victory over the Hooligan. Jett proclaimed in a pre-match promo that he wanted to win "the right way", and challenged London to forgo a tag bout tonight and take him on. Another excellent contest between these two, fought cleanly...until Jett tied up with London and kicked him low, then rolled him up while he was stunned! London was unable to kick out, but Jett's statement of having a "clean fight" was nothing more than bait to once again get London into the ring. Jett walks off smirking, with the damage done to the popular superstar. ***3/4

Callis points out that AJ has been on a roll lately. Satoshi Kojima showed up, and he was one and done, gone after AJ humiliated him. How about Low Ki? He got his ass beat not once but twice, though Callis conveniently forgets that Low Ki didn't truly lose last week. AJ's been on a roll, but they've noticed a man who hasn't...JERRY LYNN. AJ feels bad for his former mentor, and does mock tears, saying that maybe Jerry just doesn't have it anymore. However, HE doesn't think Jerry is a pushover, oh no, and that's why he offered Jerry a shot at the NWA World Title tonight, out of the kindness of his heart. 73%.NWA WORLD TITLE: AJ STYLES (c) w/ DON CALLIS vs. JERRY LYNN AJ's beliefs are without merit, as Lynn is anything but a pushover here. In fact, this match is the best Lynn has looked thus far in 2013, motivated to prove something to the young punk he once took under his wing. They battle for nearly 20 minutes, and even though the ref went down due to a collision, AJ didn't try to cheat to beat Lynn. Styles, growing more desperate by the minute, went for a top rope move that didn't pay off, as a weary Lynn shoved AJ's legs out from under him...sending AJ crashing to the floor below! Callis freaked out as AJ was out cold and couldn't answer the ten count, which means Jerry Lynn defeated the World Heavyweight Champion in his first shot at the title! ****1/4
Match Quality: 95% Crowd Reaction: 82% OVERALL RATING: 88%Another Jeff Jarrett video plays, this one mocking Raven's quest to find Alexis Laree and who helped Jarrett take her away. Once again, the video is in the style of a political ad, showcasing Jarrett's "positives" and Raven's "flaws". "Raven wants to know who's helping Jeff Jarrett. Well, Double J has a lot of supporters, but none of them are as important as YOU!" Jarrett points at the camera, Uncle Sam style, to end the video. 81% FIRST BLOOD: Jeff Jarrett vs. Raven Both men come out fighting, brawling, and using everything in there way to try to make the other bleed. Jarrett takes control for a while, but Raven starts to mount a comeback...cut off when VINCE RUSSO runs down to ringside with a Singapore Cane! Russo throws the cane into the ring, and Raven questions the appearance of the Most Hated Man In Wrestling, but turns to get BLASTED between the eyes with the cane, busting him open just above the bridge of his nose! Blood covers Raven's face as Russo gets into the ring and hugs Jarrett, and the crowd wonders...is this who has been helping Jarrett these past few weeks? **1/4 Match Quality 73% Crowd Reaction 89% OVERALL RATING: 82%SHOW RATING: 79% We got a 0.20 buy rate for 'TNA on PPV'! TNA on PPV JEFF JARRETT (wearing a cowboy hat), VINCE RUSSO (wearing a cowboy hat) and TITO ORTIZ (not wearing a cowboy hat) welcome us to this week's edition of TNA on PPV. Jarrett and Russo are all smiles, while Ortiz, nose still visibly bruised from Raven's assault on him two weeks ago, stands in the back menacingly. Russo has to laugh at the stupidity of Raven, because why WOULDN'T Russo be supporting Jeff Jarrett in his war? The people hate them, but welcome Raven with open arms? The same man who has openly admitted his love for alcohol and drugs? The same man who messed with the minds of anyone who crossed his path? Face it, Raven, you don't like us because someone finally has your number, someone finally made YOU the victim of a mindgame, and that's us. It's time to saddle up for your last ride, Raven, because The Double J Ranch is about to put you out of business for good. 81%THE HOOLIGANS w/ FRANCINE vs. THE GLORY BOYS (Michael Shane and Jason Jett) Tenay and Callis talk about the newly dubbed "Glory Boys" moniker for Shane and Jett, discussing how they believe they're destined for greatness in NWA-TNA. Tenay thinks that Shane might be just a little jealous of the success his former friends have had elsewhere, and of the impact they've made in NWA-TNA thus far. This was a great match to kick the show off with, getting the crowds interest in a matter of seconds as Kendrick opened up with a flying body press onto Shane. With a Hooligans victory seemingly in the bag, a woman hopped the rail and got onto the apron. Distracted by this turn of events, Kendrick turns to see TRACY BROOKS on the apron, trying to get the referees attention...allowing Jett to hit the Bank Roll on him for the 1-2-3! Francine, not happy with another woman causing her boys to lose, tackles Tracy and we have a good ol' fashioned CATFIGHT...but Shane and Jett pull Francine off of Tracy, and under the guise of holding her back, leave her open to a spear! Brooks hugs both Jett and Shane, and the Glory Boys leave the ring and carry Brooks back to the dressing room on their shoulders, celebrating their victory. **3/4 Match Quality 82% Crowd Reaction 73% Overall Rating 77%
NWA X TITLE: SHARK BOY (c) vs. TRENT ACID This is Acid's first shot at singles gold, and while he doesn't go home with the X Title, this match shows that he's just as worthy of singles gold as he is tag team gold when teaming with Johnny Kashmere. An awesome match showing off both men and their talents, ending once again when Shark Boy hits the Dead Sea Drop. ***1/2 Match Quality 90% Crowd Reaction 71% Overall Rating 80%
Francine and The Hooligans are wild backstage, disgusted with the antics of the Glory Boys tonight. It's one thing, Boys, for you to take liberties with us. Now you want to bring in Tracy Brooks and try to take out the Extreme Cheerleader? The Hooligans aren't finished with you, not by a longshot...and as for you, Tracy Brooks? Honey, we're just getting started! 84%. Francine gained overness from this segment. Brian Kendrick gained overness from this segment.JERRY LYNN comes out to the ring, greeted warmly by the fans. Last week, AJ STYLES hand selected Lynn to be his opponent, thinking Lynn had lost a step or two. Instead, AJ had the fight of his life, perhaps his toughest test to date...and Lynn defeated him when AJ couldn't answer the ten count. With a win over the champion, Jerry only wants one thing, and that's another shot at the belt. An angered AJ storms out, minus his adviser, Don Callis. AJ and Lynn go nose to nose, trash talking each other, and AJ asks if Lynn really wants another shot at the belt? Yes. Do you think you DESERVE another shot at this belt? YES. YOU WANT A SHOT, JERRY LYNN? THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT? Y...BAM! Lynn goes down, as AJ lays him out with a belt shot! The crowd boos relentlessly, as AJ spits on his rival and ducks out of the ring, smirking at his own actions. 71%NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES: DEVIL'S DUO (Kash and Psychosis) w/ FATHER JAMES MITCHELL vs. THE BRISCOE BROTHERS (Mark and Jay) w/ BILL ALFONSO The Briscoes earned this shot after beating the champions in a non-title contest last week. Lots of quick tags, and a moment where Psychosis just barely kicked out of a crossbody by Jay Briscoe. The Champions manage to hit their Hell On Earth double team finisher (Kash powerbomb/Psychosis guillotine legdrop combination) and defeat their challengers decisively. Mitchell congratulates his men on the victory...then sics them on the brothers after the match, telling them to "tear them apart"! The weakened Briscoes are no match for the champs, and it takes a slew of personnel to rush the ring and send the champions back to the dressing room. The match might be over, but it's obvious the war between these teams is not. **** Match Quality 96% Crowd Reaction 72% Overall Rating 84%
The NWA World Tag Team Titles have gained in image.NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: AJ STYLES (c) w/ DON CALLIS vs. LOW KI The other man hot on AJ's trail, Low Ki, gets another shot tonight, due to his draw with AJ several weeks ago. A MOTY candidate if there ever was one, and just as AJ reverses a German Suplex attempt to try one of his own, he's BLASTED across the back with a chair from Jerry Lynn! The bell sounds, and Ki is NOT happy that the match is over, but Lynn pays him no mind and instead tears into AJ. Callis jumps up and down frantically, trying to call Lynn off, but his pleading falls on deaf ears as Lynn drops AJ with his trademark CRADLE PILEDRIVER! Lynn, bug eyed and manic, picks AJ up again, and even the announcers can't believe that he'd do this...but he drops AJ with ANOTHER piledriver! Lynn slams the mat and screams a growl that echoes throughout the Asylum, and picks AJ up again...THIRD cradle piledriver! AJ is lifeless on the mat, and Lynn goes to the floor and yanks the World Title from Callis. He takes it back into the ring and drops it on AJ's chest, then spits on him just as AJ did earlier. Jerry Lynn is a man obsessed with beating AJ Styles, and has left the World Champion unconscious! ****3/4 Match Quality 100% Crowd Reaction 80% Overall Rating 90%The NWA World Title has gained in image.
In his nest, Raven prepares for his handicap match tonight with Jeff Jarrett and Tito Ortiz. "Jeff Jarrett, you stole Alexis Laree from me. Tito Ortiz, you choked D'Lo Brown into unconsciousness, and he hasn't been the same since. Vince Russo, you reared your ugly head yet again last week and helped Jeff Jarrett spill my blood on the canvas. You've isolated me, left me alone, and you think that weakens my defenses? Quite the opposite. A man alone is a man with nothing to lose, and I will show you tonight that strength in numbers is no match for a one man army. Quote the Raven, nevermore!" 89% HANDICAP MATCH: RAVEN vs. JEFF JARRETT and TITO ORTIZ The match goes pretty much how you'd expect. Plenty of double teaming by Jarrett and Ortiz to try to stay in control, but Raven was able to pick them apart individually. With Ortiz hurled out to the floor, Raven blocked the Stroke with a low back kick, and set up for the Evenflow DDT...only to be blasted in the back of the head with a chair from Russo! Ortiz had the ref distracted, and Jarrett followed up with a Stroke to plant Raven's face into the mat. One, two, three for Jarrett and Ortiz after that, and the self proclaimed Double J Ranch celebrate their victory as they pose over an unconscious Raven to end the show. ** Match Quality 74% Crowd Reaction 74% Overall Rating 73%OVERALL SHOW RATING: 80% We got a 0.22 buy rate for 'TNA on PPV'! The attendance was 3392 people. We made $550000 from pay-per-view revenue. We made $44096 from ticket sales. Shark Boy and Trent Acid have a fantastic chemistry in the ring, it adds a lot to the match. Mark Briscoe and Trent Acid would both like to be moved up the card.

In regards to developmental, why have I not gotten an update as to improved stats? Those are supposed to come at the beginning of each new month, right? You won't get any updates during the month that you first open up developmental. A worker has to be in developmental for a full month before you get updates on them.

If you're doing weekly PPVs (or any kind of weekly show), getting guys on written contracts is essential. Trust me, I've had a few games die out because of that.

Right now I'm sticking with the weekly PPV format since that's what TNA was back then, but I do have the intention of upgrading it. Given that so much has "gone wrong" in such little time, I'm almost wondering if I should just redo the diary from scratch, since what I have is only a night's work.

The more I think about it, the more I think I might just revamp the diary entirely and start from scratch, given that it's early enough in my run. I keep thinking of ways to tweak the stories and not just do a total "restart" as I did with this show.
That being said, I will be keeping many of the same/similar ideas (such as the formation of the Devil's Duo, the "jumping" from the WWE of London and Kendrick, etc.). Just some slight changes and better understanding of the contracts involved. I should have several shows done by tomorrow night ready for posting.
